Hi! I'm having my reception on July 8, 2006 in the Dome Room...

I've had zero contact with JT since I signed the contract, so I'm really glad I found the new thread...You girls are where I found out all the info I would otherwise have to call JT for.

Is anyone doing chiviari chairs instead of chair covers. I think everyone's pretty much in agreement about how hideous the chairs are, but I'm nervous about how covers will look because the top part of the chair is an odd shape. I can't seem to find any vendors that rent chiviari chairs near JT...Also, do you think JT will charge me to set up the chairs?

we are in the dome room with a minimum of 200 but we had the venetian hour in our contract but it's just too expensive so we're going to take it out. When we booked, Our BM, Chad didn't offer to throw in any of extra deserts if we just kept the basic package but now i hear thst people got things thrown in like the chocalate fountain and mini desserts

Well one thing that I had changred was my BM Chad... who I really didn't care for.. in addition to that I had my date changed with no problems.

I personally think we JT brides need to flood them with calls, e-mails and letters saying
how ridiculous and ugly those chairs are which leaves us with NO CHOICE but to spend money on chair covers.

If they were thrown in like Leonard's then I think most of us would probably pay money for the extras

I think the chair covers will look fine, in response to the person worried about that.

When you get the chair covers, are the bows included or extra?? I may just pay for the chair covers on my own without telling FH. He won't even notice the difference!!!

You ladies might think I'm crazy but how many restrooms does JT have? Is there one upstairs by the Dome or do the guests have to go downstairs and share the bathroom.

I'm pretty sure they make the chairs ugly on purpose so that you pay extra for the chair covers.

I'm pretty sure there's a bathroom on each floor, but don't quote me on that. At the very least I know of one on the main floor (same floor as the skylight room) and one downstairs (same floor as the oak room). I don't remember if there is one upstairs with the dome room, but I can't see why they wouldn't have one.

there is also a bathroom upstairs, and 2 bridal suites with their own bathrooms as well. the dome room and penthouse room share the upstairs bathroom, but it is fairly large. hth

2/18/06 Date Twins... you guys should see if you could work out something with the chair covers.

My BM told me that the only way that I could probably get the chaircovers free for the ceremony is if there were another bride b4 me using them.

My name is Jamie and I'm getting married of February 17th at Jericho Terrace. (116 days) WOOHOO. We are having the reception in the Skylight room after pondering between this and the Dome.

We have gotten the Mini Vienesse thrown in with the coffee cordial bar both free. I am gonna start working on chair covers shortly. Wish me luck. I just think it is a nice finishing touch that should be for free.

I think you can speak with GINA whenever you want. I met with her about a month and a half ago and picked out invitation. I have to go back because I wasn't happy with the proof sometime this week if I can find the time. She will go over vendors with you but don't make her push you into any particular vendor. She was pushing the limo company on me and I am really no impressed with them. They get kickbacks when we use a house vendor.

That's awesome about Flower Michele! We have an appointment with them on Wed. I figured that they would become one, since they are now across the street!

Just a word for those of you who haven't ordered invitations yet...ask around before you order them through JT; we saved a lot more going through an invitation shop.
