OKAY - has anyone had BAD experiences with their cakes (and i mean if you brought in a photo or a request that is NOT one of JT's cakes)...i've heard some stories that are not so good????? does anyone have pics of their cakes??? should I maybe consider hiring a bakery??(although the transporting of the cake scares me)..... what to do, what to do..... help please :)

Im getting married May 5th 2007. Ceremony is in the skylite room and Reception is in the Dome room. I am so excited. The Viense (sp) hour was never offered to us

so i am calling my contact there as we speak. As far as seat covers go... i was told they would be on every chair so no i have to call and double check about the ceremony room as well. So stressed

You guys are wonderful you have given me so many great ideas.

New Jericho Terrace Bride here! Just booked yestarday. CH in the Terrace room, reception in Penthouse.My BM is Mike Closs. I think he is super nice & very accomodating.

I've been reading some threads about the wedding cakes & i'm getting nervous. I would like to hear some good wedding cake outcomes from past JT brides or guests.......Thanks!

lol i dunno how i missed this thread but JT bride here 5/27/07 reception in penthouse room

wonder if anyone has pics of their reception in the penthouse room. is this a new room?

i've heard bad stories about cakes but you could supposedly go directly to dortoni bakery (the bakery that JT uses) to talk to them. i don't know the logistic though... maybe someone has had experience???

We had no bad experience with our cake at all. Mind you, I only picked one out and asked for a little color on it. I wasn't that picky about how the cake looked. But they still did a great job and everyone loved it.

hey girls - does anyone know the details on what happened last night at JT??? not to freak anyone out, but there have been rumors stirring that there were fire trucks there last night - and that it was a monday night so the odds of them being for a wedding were slim to none.... anyone know??????

Hi! I'm getting married July '07 with my ceremony in the skylight and reception in the dome...We got the package with the vienese hour but I think we're going to take it out because it's too expensive. Does anyone know if there's anything else you can get put in with the wedding cake and sampler plate?

i think they have other things like cookies and cakes tat you can get for cheaper then the veinese hour

Instead of adding the viennese hour b/c it is so expensive, we added an extra tray of cookies on each table. I can't recall offhand what we are paying for it but yes, there are other things you can add on besides the viennese hour.

Hi congratulations and welcome!! It seems you and I are using the same vendors. The skylight room is my main reception room. I could not meet the minimum they require for the dome room. Both rooms are beautiful though. Congrats again....

I am requested Vinny (the owner) as my MC and if he cannot do it he put me down for Paul. Vinny is my photographer at Patken. You should see if Steve is booked for your day. He does amazing work as well. There are a lot of reviews of him on here from past brides. Just type in the search steve and Patken. You should come up with some info and pics.

Thanks for the compliment on my dress. i tried on a halter dress also and it was a toss between a halter dress and the one I chose. I loved them both but just knew that the one I chose was for me.

Your dress is beautiful too.

I had originally requested Vinnie, the owner. We went to the showcase and really liked Ali. I called th next day to switch it. He just had a good vibe to me. Do you know anything about him at all?
