I have seen that show. They don't sell anything per se but I am sure there will be things I will want to try. I have only seen a few episodes but it's pretty interesting for 'seeing' a new technique.

hello girls. I have been an on looker to your post for a couple of months and i have a question. I love all your creative pages. i wish i could be more creative....
Not on new scrapbooks, regarding old scrapbooks.
my mom has acquired her aunts old scrapbooks, they are just pictures glued to black pages. are there any products that can help us remove the pictures without damaging the pictures and the writing that's on the back?
these pictures are from the early 1900's. we would like to know who these people are, but all those who might know have passed on. Some have lifted slightly to reveal writing, but we can't make it out.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I would take the black page and glue it to a new page in a book, OR you can use DENTAL floss to remove the pics! however, dental floss is used to take pics off old photo albums, I dont know about paper

Aside from Tammy's suggestions, there is also this stuff called Un-do that removes the adhesive from photos. I believe Michaels has it. I would test it on photo that has no significance first.

Un-do works wonders!!! I would try it on one of the smaller pictures. I should not hurt the pics but just to test it!
After you get the pics out, I would scan them and print them out. You can use the Kodak Picture maker for this.

I would cut out the photos from the black pages, leaving the black paper on the back of the photo. you will not damage the photos that way.
next scan every shot. that way you are not the only one with those precious photos, and you can use the printed out photos for scrapbooking, instead of orginals- you wouldn't want to make a mistake on a one-and-only photo

I have a question. I was looking online at QVC and saw something that I wanted to buy. It is an embossed scrapbook album. Are the pages built inside so that it comes with them already and also you wouldn't be able to add additional pages? I'm so confused as I've always used the straphinge albums. Here is the description of what it comes with...

Meredith, I am sure you'll be fine at your first class/party.

I actually scrapped a little last night (very little) but I have been in such a scrapping rut that I was happy to get one page done. I also used patterened paper effectively for the first time. I don't love the lay out but it's not awful.
