i went to macys in manhasset demetrios salon and there was a ton of the dresses ranged from 900-1300...

EOM dresses take about 8-10 months to come in.

otherwise im sure you can find something more affordable than what you have been seeing. however you gotta buy something soon. or you will have to get a sample off the rack if you are the sample size and you may get a great deal on that.

Try RK bridal in the city. Not a frilly bridal shop, but you can't beat their prices or selection. I found my dress there (~1100) and Macy's matched their price plus gave me an extra 5% off for self-storage. If you shop around most places will match the cheapest.

I second going to RK. I got my BM dresses and my dress there. They price match and are great to work with!

You can check with Phyllis at Gownfind.com, she can get dresses in around 3 or 4 months and cheaper than the salons.

I paid $1400 for mine at Lestan's in Brooklyn. It's from Moonlight, but I WOULD NOT recommend going to this salon at all!!!

I bought mine at David's Bridal, it was in in 2 months and it was $200 off. $1060 marked down to $860 and I got a 0% card from there for 1 year. I only have 2 payments left!!!

I went to Flowerama (Bridal Plaza), and with alterations and the bustle, it costs $ 1000.

Since your wedding is so soon and you might not be able to order a dress from certain designers, would you consider buying the sample dress at a salon? I know someone who took the sample from the salon and saved a lot of $ on the dress she loved.

The dress I have my eye on is from Moonlight and is about $1500. Paradise Bridal in Patchogue.

RK sells off the rack too, so you may want to check them out since you only have 5 months to go.

Mine is $610. It is P.C. Mary's from Wedding Plaza in New Hyde PArk. Good luck. Whatever you love go for it. It is a once in a lifetime event!

I spent $350 on the dress and $150 on alterations. I got lots of compliments on my dress.

Adriennes- about 1200, not expensive but remember the gown cost does not include alterations, veil , headpeice...all that stuff...which really does add up- my veil and headpeice are the same as my gown almost...it is unbelievable...
