I just bought 'A Child Called It'. I have been wanting to read this forever
A terribly sad and horrific story, but such a good read. You'll cry your eyes out and want to punch his mother. I read the series, there's also 'The Lost Boy' and 'A Man Named Dave' that continues his story.
Who writes this book?
David Peltier
He didn't just write it. It's the unfortunate true story of his life. The 3rd worst case of child abuse in the history of California.![]()
I read these books. They were incredible. Heartbreaking yet inspiring. The things this poor man endured yet still grew up to be 'normal'. Truly amazing!
I've read these as well (Pelzer I think is the author) and they are truly heartbreaking. Did you know he wrote a fourth one? Privilege of youth-about his teenage years.

Re: What is everyone reading?
I just finished Beloved by Toni Morrison. I was totally hooked in the beginning but then felt a bit lost by the end. I kept waiting for some incredible climax but I felt like the book somewhat petered out.Welcome New Vendors
