I am do i ng diamond white, pure white makes me look REAL pale and ivory makes my skin color wierd...I dont think I could ever do a colored dress

I have a white dress but I want to incorporate purple into the dress. I will find a way somehow.

Light Gold - Go for a color! I was thinking of red but most stores don't carry wedding dresses in red.

Dare to be different! Color is fun and in it's own way classic! If you read up on the history of wedding dresses you will see that white dresses are a relatively recent trend.

Here is a poem I found as I was researching the history of wedding dresses:

There is an old poem about how the color of your wedding dress will influence your future:

“Married in white, you will have chosen all right.

Married in black, you will wish yourself back.

My dress is white (didn't realize there were so many shades of 'white'!)
Ivory didn't look right on my skin.
I've seen some gorgeous dresses in colors but it just doesn't feel like a wedding gown to me... I've always pictured myself in a white dress.
It's personal preference I guess....

I went with a diamond white. The stark white wasn't toooo bad, but the first thing I thought was 'Wow, that's a white dress'. The diamond white was much more flattering, and as long as there's not anything really white to compare to you can't tell it's not whtie!
