I hated White Teeth & The Known World...I read both in my bookclub and they both made me want to kill myself.

awful.
i was sick the week before our wedding and missed 2 days from work. that's the ONLY reason why i finished it.
and now i refuse to read the mermaid chair which people say is good - it's by the same author.

UGH! That book really WAS awful.

Lonely bones was the only book that I startedx and didn't finish. I guess that would make it the worst.

Life of Pi. Everyone raved over this book and when I finished I thought 'what the hell was that!?'. Awful.

I did not care for The Mermaid Chair-though I did enjoy Secret lives of bees.
I can't stand Naked, Dry, Running With Scissors, etc. I kind of liked Running With Scissors when I first read it, then I got into a rut of reading all those 'look at my crazy life and what I have lived through' and I'm just really over them.

I didn't like Augusten Burroughs- Running With Scissors-but I loved The Secret Life of Bees. Have not gotten around to The Mermaid Chair.

I hated Secret Life of Bees...it was excruciating but I'm the type that has to finish a book once I start.

Also-- not that I hated the following but didn't get what all the hype was about..

Atonement (hated the beginning but finally got into it midway through the book)
