RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
Can anyone off the top of their head supply a list of catering halls that costs under $80/pp (++ included in that price) or an overall cost of $14,000 (all included) for 150-165 guests.We're doing a Saturday Night wedding... no question about that- FH has made that clear.
We've checked out 10 halls already and are totally burned out. I've tried contacting almost every hall I could think of (via email- we both work full time and I teach dance at night while he goes to school, so via phone is hard) and have gotten little response.
We're looking for a fall or spring wedding, no winter, no summer, and can't get married during lent.
The halls we've looked into already:
Majestic Gardens- don't get me started on them!
price for Nov- $82.50++
North Ritz- what a joke- Joe gags when he hears that name.. BAD experience
$150++
Larkfield manor- too narrow
I don't remember the price, it was in our range though
Crest Hollow- possibility, kinda iffy on the look of the rooms
$75.00++
Brentwood country club- didn't like the salesmen, room was too dark and cocktail hour room was too small
$Package
Fox hollow- too narrow, the room we liked was too small
$65.00++
The Riviera- WEIRD layout, too much money
$95.00++
Coral house- seems to be our #1 now... but i'm still iffy.
$72.00++
Manor East- too 80's
$Package
The Metropolitan- didn't like the room in person
$95.00++
and now saturday we're looking at west lake inn... but based on pictures, I don't like them, but joes heard good things.
So.. yea, any other suggestions? I want to check out the swan club, but he's been putting that off. what about westbury manor?
Planning a wedding is the worst thing in the world! and to think I WANTED to be a wedding planner!
We're so burned out over this and we can't waste anymore time!

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. Even more sorry to hear you had a bad experience at NRC (since it's my RH
).Anyway, I think a with a Saturday Night fall or spring wedding, it's going to be hard to find something around $80pp. Not impossible, but a little harder. From May to October it's prime wedding season, and Saturday nights are obviously most popular.
But have you looked at any of the all inclusive packages? I know the Sterling in Bethpage has an all inclusive, as does the Brentwood C.C. (but you didn't like that one). Also I think Ariana Watefalls has one too.

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
West Lake is a great value. Same caterers as Lands End and Flowerfield, so while you're sacrificing a bit as far as location, you're still getting the same great food and service.

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
$80 total on a sat night (thats approx 59.99 a person before service charge and gratuity)?? Maybe in the winter but i cant see getting that price during the months you want. I dont think its Impossible but it seems like you arent willing to sacrifice(nothing wrong with that--i am the same way). I hear that Fox Hollow is amazing and it looks like you will come with in budget booking with them. Maybe you can cut the guest list a bit. Are you planning on inviting 165 people or is that the amount you expect to come--remember there will prob be 20-30% not being able to attend.

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
ITA... a Sat night during prime wedding season is going to be reaaaaally hard, but again not impossible.I'd look at the Swan Club.
I looked at Westbury Manor (cuz my FH said so lol) and for a Fri in Sept it was more hten $80 p/person. He tried to push me towards Feb March but i wasn't thrilled about that.
Also like someone said Ariana Waterfall in W. Hempstead.

Swan Club....definitely check it out!!I got quoted from $55 for Winter months...I got Sunday quoted in June for $75 pp.
ETA: FH wasn't sold until he saw it in person. He loved the gardens that are always manicured. It is beautiful, maintained and very clean.

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
oh.. here's my quote for swan club (cuz mom wanted me to go there lol)this is for a fri night i believe.... and this is the menu with everything..
75 p/person with tip and everything it came to 97 p/person. Thats 16627 for 170 people. This was for September Fri night.
But again, this was for the highest menu. There were 2 others that were cheaper to choose from.

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
i dont think you will find the price you want at bridgeview or sandcastle since we looked at both of those.i would also check out:
*chateau le mer
*millerage (it depends the month, but if you dont get the package with the veniesse hr it may b doable)
*harbor club (if you are flexible on the year...meaning if you go for fall 2009 you can get a good deal!!!)
GL!

I got quoted $95 p/person at Chatea La Mer for Fri in Sept. With tax it came to 123 p/person and for 170 people its 21003.
you know what might work.... there are a few brides who for one reason or another had to cancel their wedding and are looking for brides to take their date and vendors. I'd check into that too. It would be for 2009 but it might work for you.
