NYC receptions on a tight budget

My fiancee and I met in NYC, we both agree its where we''d like to be....We''re trying to find a reception site that meets the following criteria: 1. can hold 300-350 people 2. can spend approx. $50 per person, with food. We''re stressing over this....suggestions anyone?

There are cruise lines that circle Manhattan which could be fun. There is also the possibility that you can get a great property for a smaller sum.
