We are traveling to New York City to be married. Can we be married in Central Park? By whom? What are the arrangments to be made? Please help. Want to tie the knot June 19,2001. The wedding party will be myself, fiance,my 8 year old son, a my mother. Thanks Alesia

Congratulations! Central Park is lovely you must be so excited! Myself or anyone else registered with the City of New York can perform the ceremony. Arrangements would be just contacting and confirming dates and times with whom ever you choose. The license needs 24 hours before you can tie the knot. (I have a whole list NY requirements. If you wish I can send them to you, the short version is be unwed, have ID, go to town hall at least 24 hours before, and you have 60 days to get married.)
