Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Kerri, that cake is great. Please let us know if it was more than the standard cake or if it was included with the fox hollow's cake credit. I would love something like that in plain white / ivory and brown.

It was an ERGA cake and it did not cost me extra. I went and met with them in person and brought pictures. They tried to tell me itd be extra but I did the 'sad face' and they did it for me. Jen had told me that it probobly wouldn't cost extra, Frank had said that it might. I was originally getting a basket weave cake so it wasnt like this was more difficult.

Just a note though, I wanted hexagon, and GOT hexagon, even though Lilly at Erga called me the night before and said they only do Octagons which i had said was fine... even though after talking to a bunch of bakeries and being told that no one really makes octagon. So make sure if you talk to them you know what you want, and what they are talking about.

Everyone LOVED the look and taste of the cake. DH is sad that we have to wait a year to eat the top part.

The room was PERFECT. We went very simple with our centerpieces and everything, and used candles to basically light the whole room.
If you have higher centerpieces they'd look amazing in that room too.

Right now I was thinking of just doing candles as my centerpieces. With the fireplace and the fact that the room is dark, I thought the candles would look gorgeous! Thanks for the tip!!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I am planning on have 3 multi level pillar candles surrounded by various fall flowers.. I thought candles would make the room glow. I also piicked up votive candles in Michaels for the cake table. They were on sale for $4 for a dozen. Couldnt beat that

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Page 4 ladies??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Come on lol

OK, question for you ladies,

If our ceremony is at 12:30, and its the first event of the day, what time would I be able to get into the bridal suite? I was reading the CLM thread, and now it has me concerned. I was anticipating getting ready in the bridal suite and taking pictures before the wedding, is that possible?

And also, if I have a contract that states 12:30 ceremony, 1-6 reception, and they change the evening time to a 5:30 ceremony, 6-11 reception, would they be able to change my time? From a contract standpoint, I don't see how without breaching the contract unless agreed to, but then my guests and I would be leaving during another brides ceremony, and we may both need the same suite.

Any thoughts?
