Hi Ladies! Does any know set up of the dj for the Briar Fox room?
The DJ sets up in the booth next to the bar and the speakers and lighting are set up at the entrance way. When you look for a DJ make sure they can do that...they need to run certain wires. I was concerned about the time the DJ would have to set up and my guy said he would have raodies helping to set up. Most DJs know that room and know how to set up.
My wedding is not till 2010, this is only information that has been provided to me.
thanks so much!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Hi Everyone - I am new to the thread and am seriously considering Fox Hollow. We are probably booking later this week. So I have a problem, and would love you FH brides to help. The room we would have is the Briar Fox, quite honestly, I wasn't thrilled with it. He said I needed to see it decorated for a wedding. I didn't like the size and how the band is back in that corner. Any advice? Also, if we did a day wedding we could have the bigger room but then we wouldn't have the winter garden pavillion for cocktail hour.
Let me know what you ladies think! Thanks!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I have my wedding booked at Fox Hollow and have the Briar Fox room as well. Truthfully, I am not crazy about the room either, but I've realized that certain things are just more important than others. For example, I love the Winter Garden, but would have had to cut my guest list down considerably in order to have the wedding there, so we compromised and have it for our cocktail hour - same setup as you. Also, in fairness, I've yet to see any room in any wedding facility that I really liked.Try and think about what is the most important to you - for me, it's the people and the confidence ( which I have gotten from this board reading about how happy people are with the Fox Hollow ) that make the wedding.
I'm curious to see what the room looks like all dressed up as well.

in all honesty.. i also wanted my reception in the WGP.. but i would have also had to cut my guest list down.. BUT, the day of the wedding.. i was SOOOOOOO happy to have best of both worlds.. to have an amazing CH in the WGP!! AND the reception in the Briar Fox.. as soon as i walked in that room.. i was happier that my reception was in that room!! it was beautiful!!
and the dance floor is huge!! the whole set up in general is wonderful!

if I were you I would not book a room unless I loved it! I would choose a different date before I'd pick a room I wasn't happy with!!!! The room was something that was very important to me. JMO.

I am in the same boat as you! FH and I were really impressed with the price and what they were giving us... except if we wanted Saturday night our reception would be in the Briar Fox w CH in the Winter Garden, and Saturday afternoon our reception would be in Garden Terrace with CH in Briar Fox... (we guaranteed 125) i didn't get to see the rooms though b/c there were parties going on but i plan on going back!!
So i just wanted to get some opinions from everyone about the rooms? Also what extras did you manage to get thrown in there??? I read that some of you got an extra 1/2 hour of cocktail hour.. thats awesome!! Also the BM told me that vendors do not eat for free since they offer their services at a discount to Fox Hollow parties... is this true??
Thanks girls!!

I know the vendors definitly do not eat for free, but they are discounted. I believe they get 1/3 off the reg price for vendors

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Yeah vendors and kids under 12 eat 1/3 off. If the kids are really small and they don't have to set a place for them, then they are free.So the one thing that I didn't like about the Briar Fox room was where the DJ/Band would go. Its like in the corner. My problem is that I have 160 people right now, and the room max's out at 170, so it seemed tight for the amount of people I am having.
Either way, I have to make it work because my parents are booking it there tomorrow!
I got a free night at the hotel thrown in, chair covers, ice sculpture and wine on the table.
