Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

This is too funy! I'm not a teacher, but wanted to become one for SO long...I ended up working in the jewelry field which I love so much, but otherwise would be teaching. How wonderful of you ladies to do the most noblest of jobs!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

What color/kind of chair covers would go good in the dome room?

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I teach in Smithtown HS! I think the white would look good...maybe it depends on the linens? While I'm on I have a couple of questions...
1. I'm approaching the 5 month mark and haven't heard a thing from JT since we booked. Should I call them or will they call me? Has anyone else heard anything?

2. Has anyone asked about the votive placecards? I would liek to do them but I have to ask if I can first.
Stay warm!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I would call them and find out what the next step is for you. I also want to use votive placecards so let me know how that goes.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Do we have a choice of linen colors? I thought it was just white... This can be something to ask at the expo on Wed, I guess!

I'm almost at the 3 month mark...nothing to do with them now, we meet again in April (one month before). As for chair covers, beige/white is the only color they provide...anything else we would have to get ourselves.

About that...do you think I should pay the extra $$ to get the bow around the chair cover? I currently have chair covers...but do you think the bow will make a difference?

I'm paying for mine...that's why I don't know if I should pay for the bow or not...they don't like to give away the chair covers.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I'm definitely paying for mine...we tried to get them to throw them in, but no luck!

Does anyone know when they are replacing the carpets? My BM said they would definitely do it by next Feb...has anyone else heard anything about that?

This makes me feel much better. They wouldn't throw mine in either. I thought it was just me.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I think the bow would look nice. I wish somebody had pictures of them that got married at JT. I definitely want to get the chair covers. Can I order them through Jericho Terrace? How much are they???

And what is this I hear about new carpets? Are they replacing them this April? In all of the rooms?

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Check out their website, they may have pics. on there... as for the carpets, when I went there a couple of months ago, I remember him saying that he was getting the carpets done by the stairs and in the halls (I guess that's what it would be called)... I don't remember what he said about the rooms

I believe it is just in the hallways; I think that the ones in the rooms are fine.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

When we did our contract, we got chair covers with bows. Covers are $3 a piece and bows are $1 extra per piece.

I think the bow completes the look. When I see the ones they have, w/o the bows, I feel like it looks unfinished. Not bad, just it needs a little something.

Who all is going to the showcase tomorrow??

I'll be there!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Thanks girls...I agree. It's funny how you know what you want but need someone else (like you lovely ladies) to give you that 'push'. I think I'm going to suck it up and come up with the extra cash for the bows...

I wasn't going to go to the showcase, but think I will to meet with Gina...I need invites!

Gina won't even look at you on the day of the showcase. She's so busy. Best bet, make an appointment with ther for a time when you can sit down with her one on one.
