Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Marie-
I recall asking Mike Closs if there were any restrictions on candles, like in centerpeices, or around and he said no. I know that is not EXACTLY what you asked, but I am almost positive it's okay to do the votive candles. I may have asked him, but that was when we booked back in Sept and I have NO memory!

Hi girls, does anyone have any good ideas for hotels over by Jericho Terrace???

I blocked rooms at the Marriott in Uniondale.

so did I!!

Do they provide shuttle service to JT?

I went to Wingate Inn after my tasting on Saturday to check out the rooms. They were great. Also they said if you booked a certain number off rooms for oot guests they would privide a complimentry shulltle bus. I don't know the details but definatly call them ( I think she said somewhere between 10-15 rooms???). I have the # at home if you need it let me know. Also they said that for a $100 service fee they will keep the bar open in the lobby with a bartender for an after party but it's a cash bar for 3 additional hour but they need to close by 4am for mone drinking laws. Not sure if I'll be too tired but think I'll do it anyway just in case if not whats a $100 after the amout your spending on the rest of the day.

I think you can use either. I am going with low centerpieces with candles. I think it will give it a romantic feel. But I'm sure high centerpieces will look amazing. I'm trying to cut cost a little. Damn that's hard

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

hi guys!! well i have been playing phone tag w/ mike closs re: votive placecards... he did say on the phone its not the best idea because he has had many people looking for JT to cover their dry cleaning bills after they spill wax on themselves... Fh says we will sign something volunteering to pay for those dry cleaning bills then lol. so i just emailed him (JT actually) and told him i was planning on using votive HOLDERS but tealight candles. that way they are self contained, they melt in the little metal holder thingy and are much lower as well. we shall see.... stevejamnik, i think your cp's sound beautiful!! i hear ya about the $ thing, i just added today what we still owe i am now looking for another job, i refuse to blow our savings or charge anythning if i absolutely dont have to!!! any suggestions???

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

hey exotica I know what you mean. We refuse to charge anything either. We don't want any debt. Second job, hmm well thats tough. You can always waitress or something like that. My little boy is my second job. It's tough in NY. Oh by the way, I think that was a great answer with the votive holders. Let us know what happens.
