I hear that!! Sat is my 1 yr mark, and July is 1 yr we've been engaged!! I fortunately have some of the things you're working on...and know that we're all here for advice, support and recommendations!!!
Marie--I suggest a 2nd job, only if you can 'hack' it. I (as you know) have 2 and FH wants me to get a 3rd!!
And for our upcoming brides....
Can't wait to see pics and reviews!!!!Any upcoming

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I know our ceremony is supposed to be in the Dome Room.....our cocktail hour in the terrace room and the reception in the oak room? We were hoping to get the skylight room for the ceremony, but hey, I'll take the Dome room!!!We only have maybe 75-100 people, so we don't warrant the reception in one of the bigger rooms, but I am just happy I have a lot of hall twins!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I know what everyone means I have 241 and 10hrs left. Yikes!!!! Destiny thats great. You better get you butt in gear though. Go start looking for dresses that is the fun part.I know I still have to go get BM dresses and find one for the flowergirl. To me this is the hard part. Just getting them all together is a pain.
My Moh and one bridesmaid and live in Florida. They are actually coming to NY the same time in July so thats when my butt moving. I don't have a choice and if I don't my MOH will be dragging me.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I haven't checked this thread in a while, just thought I'd give an update to the other summer 06 JT brides on here...Hotel blocks:
I ended up blocking 20 rooms at the Long Island Marriott and 10 at the Wingate Inn...I spoke with Linda at the Wingate Inn 2 weeks ago, and she was supposed to mail me the contract that day...I still haven't received it. I called her and she said she's been really busy and 'got behind.' I thought that was a little weird, but even if she is a total flake I guess it's not a huge deal.
Florist:
Still haven't done anything on this and my mother is about to kill me. Other summer 06 JT brides...Have you booked yours yet?
Anyone else made progress on anything?
-Claire

I'm in the Skylight room. If we have 160 people and there is no one in the Dome room we can upgrade, but either way I love all the rooms

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I haven't booked anything with the hotel yet. Should I have this done already. How do I know how many people. Do you have to guarentee the exact amount of people? What is exactly in the contract?? What should I ask these hotels? Thanks

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
As for hotels...I am on that quest now. Last week I made it to Marriott and Wingate. Unfortunately I was there after all the managers were gone, but the girl at the Wingate was SO helpful and showed me rooms, the guy at the Marriott was SUCH a seller, I sat with him for...3 minutes and all I got was that the minimum to block is 10. FOr 10-20 rooms, no deposit is req'd, 21+ a 50% deposit on cc is req'd.For Wingate, min 5 rooms to block, no deposit req'd, they have cont'l b'fast and lobby bar which they can 're-open' (closes at 11pm) for an 'after party' until 4am for $100. I also liked this hotel b/c it's so new, only 5 yrs old and the rooms were VERY nice!!
Claire--as for florists...we booked ours about 3 mos or so ago. I wanted to get as many big vendors booked asap, just to get them out of the way! I have booked DJ, florist, hall (obviously), church, photo/video, DOC, and my dress.

As for what to ask...my lists consists of...
1-Is a deposit req'd?
2-Min # of rooms to block?
3-Cont'l B'fast avail?
4-Shuttle to/from hall avail? Cost?
5-Parking available? Fee?
6-Is rate lower for more # of rooms blocked and booked?

I'm having about 200 guest and we are doing high centerpieces. I thought the low ones might get lost with the high dome and all.

Thanks! I am still up in the air about the centerpeices. I selected low when we booked Pedestals, but I REALLY like the ones that have the flowers at the base and 3 (low, med, hi) levels of candles. If we can afford it, I will upgrade.

Dome Room too! - June 9, 2006. One question, what is the max # of guests that the dome room can hold. I had to guarantee at least 200...

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I think the maximum for the Dome Room is 240....I believe that's the ABSOLUTE maximum (as in it's going to be really tight and you are physically unable to fit any more than that.) The guy we met with when we booked (Robert, I think??) told us that 220 is comfortable...I feel like having the minimum of 200 and the maximum of 240 makes figuring out the guest list really difficult, though. I want to make sure I meet the minimum, but I don't want to go over the 'comfortable' number of people. My guest list is at about 235 right now...I have forbidden my mother from adding any more guests!
