wud up ladies? Nice to 'meet' you. I'm Kim,

I'll be wedding 5/27/06 evening in the Winter Garden Pavillion and I'm super psyched! I was unhappy with most of the venues I saw prior but I am so happy with 'our' choice. My sister had a beautiful wedding recently at Majestic Gardens and luckily I will be able to use some of her contacts...as I know my vendors I will add them to my profile. For now I have general questions if you have either wed in the Briar or WGP room.... I want to know: For those people that smoke during the wedding....where do they end up going? In the parking lot? Realistically is there access to an outdoor garden during the wedding (i.e. the petit garden)? I was also wondering how smooth you think the transition from the small indoor CH to the WGP reception is/will be...any insight would be appreciated! Hope everyone is having a nice time wrapping up the summer! L8R ~KiM

Hi Kim! Welcome to LIWeddings, you'll find it to be HIGHLY addictive. Congratulations on booking the Fox Hollow - I couldn't have made a better choice

Unfortunately, I cannot answer any of your questions in regards to the smoking (I assume they go outside to the front of FH where the valet is) b/c my CH is in the Rose Hunt, and reception in the Winter Garden Room.

We can all recm'd fantastic vendors. Just let us know what type of budget you're working with and I'm sure we'd all be able to help you out.

For the event on 9/21, my fiancee and I will be in attendance, Hollie (hmpena) and John will be in attendance, and so will my Twin, Michelle (Soon2BeMrs2006) and her fiancee Joe.

Don't worry, you'll be among 'family' at the event!

We're still working on our budget vendor wise but once we get that squared away you guys will be the first ones I come too ^___^

I can't wait to go to the event, it sounds like fun and it'll be great knowing 'family' will be there....I'm really excited! ^__________^

Hey all, I'm still a newbie here but I'm excited to see this thread!! FH and I are signing our contract this SAT!! My neighbor was married here and she (and all of her family) loved it. I snuck around and found the Garden Terrace and showed my mom and FH who wasn't even my FI then. Never dreamed we could have it here-had to have it Sat Am in Feb to afford it but the food/menu and quality are all the same!

As to the smoking question, my neighbor had the Briar Fox room and any smokers from her wedding were out front. For the Garden Terrace you get your own private garden access.

I can't wait for the Bridal Showcase/tour! I'm missing class that night to go, but that's what I get for graduating 4.5 years late!!

Two questions:
1-how can I get my name added to the list?

2-how were the hotels in the area (besides the FH Inn). We may book at the Uniondale Marriott just to be sure the rooms are nice and they have a few large suites. We need about 5 rooms and a suite. (at least)?

Congratulations on 'booking' FH and welcome to the boards. I hope you'll find it as informative as I have.

I've added you to the list, and unfortunately I cannot answer any of your questions b/c we booked the Inn at Fox Hollow for our hotel (restricting our guests to just one hotel was easier than options) and we're having our ceremony at a church in Brooklyn.

A few of us will be at the Showcase on the 21st and look forward to seeing you there!

I just posted above but I used a few of them. I also used Sherwood Triart for photo. I haven't gotten my album yet but I love my proofs. I also used Royalty limos who were wonderful as well.
