did any of you girls book a fox hollow vendor and which one?
I just posted above but I used a few of them. I also used Sherwood Triart for photo. I haven't gotten my album yet but I love my proofs. I also used Royalty limos who were wonderful as well.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Hi all, have anyone of you taken advantage of the free wedding planning service through perfect wedding planner. If so, what was your experience? Did they try to get you to use all of their in house vendors? I want to use them, but their in house vendors are too expensive for me. Please share your experiences. Thanks.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I was going to use them to set up appointments for my DJs for me, however, they would only set up appointments with their house vendors and I am not going to meet with any of them. So, they didn't help me out.
I agree that there vendors, so far, are too expensive and out of the way for me!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I had a meeting with James at PWP as they suggested I did so before the showcase. He was helpful but didn't listen when I tried to tell him that I had done research- he just went on his (I'm assuming) usual speech. That wasn't a bad thing tho b/c he gave some details that I didn't know. They give you a time line chart and that's pretty useful. He also went over the perks and discounts you get by using their vendors. ($10 off for flowers at some vendors, free sample, 15% off invites through them...there was more...)I just smiled and nodded when he was going off on something I knew I wasn't going to need. He did convince me on the Tux guys (my BM suggested them too) and I will look into their hair and makeup people if the one I'm in touch with here gets booked.
They are also the people you go through if you don't use in-house-vendors when you submit the insurance info for your vendor (they have their vendors on file already) so it's useful to see them at least once.
I got a FM from someone who didn't have a great experience with James but maybe that was when he was new b/c I didn't have the same problems (crosses fingers). There are other people you can see too but I got the person who answered the phone so I don't know how you get other people. They do push their vendors, but most halls do.
If you do go let me know what you thought!

Can you just 'show up' to see FH? Or are appointments necessary? How much are the rooms per night at the Inn?

Most halls don't require appointments- I found going early on a Sat (10-12) is good b/c we got to see the rooms set up for a wedding and it helps to see it that way. By the time we got to Crest Hollow the cocktail hr was over and it wasn't cleaned up yet (we saw it anyway-it didn't bother us and the BM was very apologetic).
The inn is $$$ 250 or so for a night but there is a discount I think for FH brides.
I looked at the Fairfiled Marriot that's west on Jericho- small rooms and they are renovating but Marriot is quality.
We didn't look at the Best Westerns b/c we didn't want a Motel. I think we are going to go with the Wingate in Garden City for the out-of-towners.
