Unity Candle - ETA possbility.... with PIC!!
We are Christians & like the idea of a unity candle but wanted to know if this is for Catholics only ???

We stayed at the Luxor. Nice place, awesome theme, but SCARY elevators!

I don't think unity candles are only for Catholic ceremonies. I think it is utilized more as a symbol of your lives together rather than a religous reason.

So many people do it who aren't catholic.
I never knew that. Fh & I was talking abt it & we like the idea - but was not sure what religion it belonged to

LP - That is very sililar to our Unity Candle. We had one custom made for us at the Renaissance Faire. It was $40, I think.
Since you can see the layers of the wax in our candle (hard to see in this pic), we had it made with one layer of blue in the white. We thought it would stand out more on the altar.
Good thing about ours is that because of the way it was made (high melt temperature wax, with a low temperature wick), we can burn it all the way down and it'll leave a hole down the middle. We can eventually put a tapered candle in the middle. We plan to burn it every year on our anniversary.
If not sure if you understand my description, but I can take and post a picture of it tonight if you want.

THxs JLP - that is one of my concerns that the Lavender will be too light to really show up in the pics. I would love to see yours
maybe i will ahve them put an outline of deep purple to make it stand out ? thxs for yr input
