Re: <3 Official Russo's on the Bay Thread <3
Does anyone know much about the bridal suites?
They told me there are two and I've only seen one, probably the larger one.
They said the larger bridal party gets the big one(hoping thats me )
Which foods do they bring in from the cocktail hour? Is there a tv in there to watch the cocktail hour..any one know?

hmmm...the TV is a good question. I saw both rooms but I don't remember anything about a TV. You're right about the larger bridal party getting the larger suite. we had the same concern and our BM told us that if we have more than 12 or 14 people (can't remember which one) we get the larger suite. Did u see the bathroom in the large suite??? it's huge and all marble! I didn't ask about the food but from what i hear from other brides u simply tell your BM the food that you want brought to the suite beforehand and it'll be in the room when your Bridal Party arrives on the big day.

Re: <3 Official Russo's on the Bay Thread <3
Just remembered a small detail you girls might not know about. When i went to speak with my BM last week she showed us the elevator for the Tivoli room and told us there's two small screens inside the elevator that show us the guests in the room while we're on our way up. How cute is that???

Thank you santina!!!!
I did not see the bathroom....but I love all the other bathrooms at Russo's...bathrooms are a big deal to me..says a lot about a place.
Plus I was soo pleased when we saw the bridal suite, because other places we had seen either were small or had a couch....the bridal suite at russso's was set up like a small coctail hour with tables..i loved that.
Just wondering...where is the smaller suite and what does it look like?

Re: <3 Official Russo's on the Bay Thread <3
I had the same reaction when I saw the large suite at Russo's. It really did look like a miniature version of a cocktail hour room...just one more reason to love Russo's The smaller room is located right next to the office where the BM's are located. If you don't know it's there you won't even see the door. It's decorated in the same way that the large room is decorated but it is significantly smaller. I think that maybe it could fit 10 people at most.

Re: <3 Official Russo's on the Bay Thread <3
I'm getting married next month!!!! So excited about Russo's. I am the only one here who has the Florentine room ( I only have 100 people). I wanted the Tivoli with the elevator and all but the Florentine is lovely as well. Love the bar in the room and the large window overlooking the bay. As for their vendors, I'm using Tony Ferrari for photo and video. I'm so happy I'm staying on budget. Look for my review soon...

Re: <3 Official Russo's on the Bay Thread <3
Hello and Congrats to all you ladies getting married at Russo's, it truly is a beautiful place. I am adding to this post in hopes of helping the future brides, I am not intending in any way to insult or offend anyone. I just think something this big should be shared with you ladies who are spending top dollar to have your most special day there. So here goes.. I went to Russo's for a party last June, and it was one of those days that was still 95 degrees long after the sun went down. Well I guess from the airconditioning being on so long, Russo's lost its power. The rest of the block was up within an hour, but they were only able to regain power for short periods of time intermittently (like 2 minutes at a time) and were not able to get the power up until the very end of the party. The food that we had before the power went down was delicious, no complaints there as well as the service being amazing the entire time. The staff were doing everything they could to accomodate, but they were unable to cook anything other than what they can make on the grill. We wound up having grilled chicked or beef with grilled veggies as our only entree choices. Because it was so hot, many of the guests left before the meal was even served. Now I know that the chances of this happening again arent great, but if anyone remembers this happened to a prom the year before there. If I was a summer bride I would have it put in my contract that if something like this should happen you should get some money back. In all fairness, Russo's did everything they could to make the situation better, but if I were a bride there I would want a lot of my money back if that happened. I hope this post didnt offend anyone, I think you all made a great choice, just looking out for the future brides. Good luck to you all!

Hey everyone,
I've been MIA for awhile but wanted to log on and say how excited I am to go to the showcase tonight. I wasn't going to go since I have most vendors booked, but I just spoke with Kelly and she told me that the specialty lighting will be on, there will be cakes displayed, AND, the new linens will be displayed!!!!!! Can't wait!
PS Nina, good job in keeping up the Russo's thread!!

i need to put in a call to my BM....i'm not offended by your post but I am totally freaking out now becuase I did not even think to have anything like that put into my contract. I can't believe that it would happen again though...hopefully they've figured a way to get the problem under control during the summer months.

Re: <3 Official Russo's on the Bay Thread <3
Can someone take pics for me of the specialty lighting and new linens? I obviously can not make it since I am in the middle of the desert I would really appreciate some pics...Anyone?
Also...don't fret about the above mentioned issue. It rarely happens, chances of it happening to you are not good. Russo's has an impeccable and outstanding reputation to keep, not that anything can replace making that day better, but I'm sure the girls that this happened to were refunded or compensated generously...Otherwise we would have heard more about it. Again, its something good to put in your contract...but definitely nothing to worry about
