We had a food tasting after we booked. We actually booked in Jan and went in July to taste. We had the food at the sandcastle and its the same owners so knew it was good. We heard nothing but good things about the food and lemme tell u its awesome!!!

That's actually a REALLY good question. I didn't think about that. I know I was going to use the bridal suite and the ceremony room for some of the pictures, but I never thought about beyond that.
Let me know what you guys decide.
I know there are a few really nice parks in Floral Park, but I'm not sure I want to leave my reception for pictures.

We're taking our pictures at Old Westbury Gardens. We haven't seen the place in person yet, but Dom (12th night) also took his wedding pictures there, so we can't go wrong.

I am not getting married at Floral Terrace, my ceremony is in church in Woodside, Queens so I would go take pictures before I go to Floral Terrace. Being that your ceremony is at Floral Terrace, it may just make sense to take pictures in their Garden Room and Ballroom.
The Garden City Gazebo is about a 15 minute drive from Floral Terrace, right across the street from the Garden City Hotel.

I'm getting married in Queens too and want to go and take pictures in LIC too but I don't know if I would have enough time. My church is at 1:30 and cocktail hour starts at 6:30. You think there is enough time? Also it's in March so we will probably freeze. What do you think?

Where is the old westbury gardens located? Do they have a link? My church is in Bklyn at 2pm so after church were stopping off somewhere prob a park just have to find one then going to FT to take pics there.

I got married at the floral terrace on October 20th and it was Phenomenal. You have should have no worries not one thing went wrong. I'll post a review & pictures soon.

Repost from BHB - official FT THread.....
I went to FT last night with my Mom because she has never seen it and she loved it!!! It was so nice to check out the place again, it was all decorated for Christmas w/trees and poinsettas....very nice for girls getting married around this time.
My BM had been Marianne and FH and I were disappointed to hear that she was no longer there. Frank brought us around last night and he's a very nice guy and we're planning on meeting w/him in the future for anything we need.
He did mention that they have no available Friday or Saturday's left for 2007...he said they only have three Sunday's open. I liked hearing that because it says a lot for FT....just wanted to fill you girls in.
