Would you wear white to someone's wedding?

The reason I am asking this is because last night I was out with some friends looking for dresses to wear to a friends wedding that we're all attending this summer. One of my friends bought a white cocktail dress. It's very cute but I just don't think I can ever wear white to somebody's wedding. We all tried talking her out of it but she wouldn't change her mind.

What do you think? Would you ever wear a white dress to someone elses wedding?

Every one knows who the bride is. But if it was a 'fancy' gown I would be concerned.

I personally do not like to wear white in general as a whole outfit. LOL for me this is the one and only day I will

if it was a solid white dress i would not- I would feel uncomfortable... if the dress had pattern in it with different colors combine I may consider..

i dont think every bride would mind but i wouldnt wear white for the sheer fact that people would notice me - i would def notice a guest in a white dress at a wedding - and you know what comes next - the whispering and comments! not for me - i want to have a good time and blend in
