I wouldnt wear white just out of courtesy, you never know how the bride will feel and the day is about her...

But I have seen some ridiculous things worn at weddings- a doorag & jeans, a girl that dressed up like with an egyptian theme & then made the dj play walk like an egyptian- that was hysterical though

i wouldn't...just b/c i know there's a chance it might offend. i would only wear a dress with white in it...as long as white is not the main color.

but one of my best friends showed me her dress she bought for my wedding and it's mostly white w some brown accents...and i LOVE it...it's perfect for her, and i have no problem w it...even if it was all white i wouldn't care. b/c i know she wouldn't ever do that to compete w me, she just found that dress and loved the way it looked on her. i'm sure she didn't even think about the whole white thing anyway. besides, my dress isn't even all white so i couldn't complain even if it DID bother me!

I think if it were white with a pattern (with another color in it- say black for instance) I might wear that but not all white to a wedding.

The irony is my aunt (my mother's sister) wore a white top but black dress pants (I had no problem with that) and nobody said anything.

I went to a wedding though of DH's friend (the groom at the time) and someone wore all all white pants suit and EVERYONE was glaring at her!!

I would have been so embarrassed if I were that woman.

No I wouldn't but I know people who would. Truthfully, the only reason I know not to wear white to a wedding is because of LIW....

absolutely not....i am TOTALLY not a bridezilla, not demanding anything of my BM or guests...the only thing i care about as far as how people look is that people dont wear white lol, i would be pissed

No....You cant do that. Unless its on the beach and they say to wear white and they wear color! There is no reason you should wear white to someone elses wedding (well thats just me)!

Not unless asked to because it was a themed wedding. I'd consider wearing a print dress with a white background, but the color portion would have to be quite obvious. No solid white, obviously. Geez, if a guest wears white to a wedding, the guest looks like an attention-grabbing fool.
