I just called the Fox Hollow beacuse I had a few questions...I dealt with Ron (who was the best) and he had called out today because he had family personal problems that he needed to attend to, but also said he may need to take a leave of absense....I'm so upset. Did anyone else know this??????
I love Ron-He was so great to work with and was very pleasant...
I just called them to ask a question about vendor/child meal prices. I asked for Ron, because he's our manager, I was put on hold for him for a while and then they came back and said he wasn't available and someone else (Susan) helped us. They didn't mention that he was out on leave or anything. Not to say that he is or isn't, but if he was, I would think they might mention it.. so just thought i'd let you know.
I also got that PWP letter- although I've never met with them. I don't live on Long Island and need to rent a car to get out there for wedding related stuff, so I haven't really bothered with them. I have found good deals on things by doing a ton of research online, so I don't know if anything they suggested would have been better. If I lived on LI, I think I would have used them- I like the idea of it being centralized, but it just didn't make sense for me.
I can't WAIT for the menu finalizing meeting- should i be expecting that in about 1-2 months? (my wedding is 9/14)
Also- ceremony flowers question- does anyone know if I'm able to give them ideas of what I want? I am really not into the tulle that they have from pedestal to pedestal.. do you think they would leave it off if I asked them? We're hoping to have the ceremony outside if that makes a difference.
Thanks!
They took the tulle off for me. i dont think you will have say on the flowers cus they use them the whole weekend.
here are some pics from my ceremony to give you an idea. I was really happy with how it looked!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I just wanted to let you girls know that I stopped by the Fox Hollow yesterday to pick something up and it looked so beautiful. Any girls getting married there this month are lucky - there are gorgeous tulips everywhere!I was so tempted to ask the landscapers what flowers they plant for summer but I didn't wanna seem weird. haha.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Gina, thank you! I like it sooo much better without the tulle. I'm just not a tulle kind of girl (though shockingly my dress has a tulle overlay!) The petals on the floor are a gorgeous touch and the arrangements look quite beautiful! Something about the tulle bothers me- like people would be tied in..Also, although I'm a new member here & don't really know everyone- my thoughts and hugs to Deanna as well!!

Yes, they have it out the whole time. They put it on a table next to the fireplace so that everyone can see it.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
if someone has an allergy to a certain food or spice, does anyone know if FH will modify the menu for it? I am deathly allergic to Black Pepper and Cinnamon, and was wondering if they would be able to substitute spices

I am sure they can, or at least make sure yours does not have any of those spices. I mean, if they can't make sure the bride's food is not going to kill her, they aren't a very good reception hall
I am sure they will do whatever you ask!

Thanks! I provided the petels myself. I went to AC Moore and bought fake ones and had my flower girl throw real ones. I was worried people would be able to tell tehy were fake, but no one could!
