I know what you mean. Choosing a band was my biggest headache. Everyone I wanted was booked and I got married in November. (I didn't think this month would be so popular).

Try not to stress. Once you book a band....it's smooth sailing from there. As an fyi, some of my vendors were:

Photos: Cassarinos....the are based in Mineola.
Video: Enzo Productions based in Staten Island
Florist: Arcadia Florist based in Mamaroneck. (I loved them. The flowers were beautiful)
Dress: Kleinfelds
BM Dress: Avic Boutique on Northern Blvd.
Hair/Makeup: Bessie from Beautiful Girls. She is awesome. Her # is 718-707-1089.
Invitations: Encore Studios

Olga - Don't stress...everything will fall into place! If it makes you feel any better, I am getting married three months before you and all I have booked are the church and the hall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so laid back about this wedding planning stuff-not usually like me, but I feel like I have sooo much time!!

What is so funny is that my husband is a computer programmer. He shows me all the time but I am still a spazz. I'll ask him to help me but he makes fun of me for posting on this site.

HA I email mine links of stuff I find interesting on here at work - he's like 'IF SOMEONE SEES ME OPEN THIS - they are seriously going to wonder if I'm marrying a girl'

But he yells that I spend too much time on here and not enough time doing other important things - studying, cleaning my room, eating, blinking, breathing...

Ok I called Chris Zavolas - he's 99% sure he's free on that day and he's calling me back to let me know. I have no idea how much he costs but if he is good I don't mind paying a little extra. If anyone has seen him at a wedding - do they do english songs too or do I need a dj for that??

We ended up booking a DJ along with the band mainly because we also wanted a good MC. I think it makes everything more organized and also Mike from Bravo Sound did such an amazing job at our e-party that we had to have one.

Edited to add: Olga, I think Bravo Sound mentoined Chris to me when I was looking for a band, but I never ended up checking him out. I was set on having Papastefanou. If it is him, they told me very good things about him.
