ugh girlfriends! Right now I have one great girlfriend! In the past I've had a lot more, But Once i went to college I grew apart from most of them....and recently I had to dump one friend who i've known since 7th grade (she WAS my MOH) but she turned out to be very fake and VERY selfish.
After the wedding I'm moving to NC...hopefully when i go back to school i will make some friends!

Yes that is my house! its in High Pt NC....FH is already living in it, I'm so jealous I can't wait to move in!!!! it was WAY Cheap....I could have bought 3 more houses down there for the price you would pay for a house up here, its crazy!

I agree.... I have 5 of the greatest friends in the world...the rest are friends but not the kind I can talk to everything about.

sometimes I feel sad for only having one friend. Sometimes I want to go out she can't that's it and I'm home unless I go with my FH.

I'm right there with ya. I have one close friend, we've been friends for years. We've had our differences here and there but stuck through it. I feel very lucky to have her.

I think it's caused by a combination of things; how your definition of a 'true friend' changes, what so-called friend dissapoints you time and time again, life changes (marriage, kids)...

I get sad too, I wish we had other couples that we could hang out with together. I've been thinking about it lately because all of FH's friends and my friends fit at ONE table at the wedding!

Ladies who are lonely--what better place to form new friendships than here? There are get-togethers constantly, why can't we all meet and see if we can't form 'real-life' friendships too? We could even have the FH's come if they're interested.

We should do it. A mass get-together. On a Saturday, to make it easier for everyone to get there on time. I know how productive weekends can be with wedding planning, but it could be just what we need to blow off some steam!

same here. All through elementary, junior and senior high school, I always had a fab best friend and a tight group. In college and for a few years after, I had a different tight group. And at each of my first two jobs, made great friends.

for one reason or another, have either grown apart, realized the relationships were dysfunctional and made a choice to move on, etc.....then it was grad school and working, which ate up all of my time, then dating FH 'full-time'....and for the past two years, have been working where it's JUST my boss and me. sigh.

I joined an activities group to try to make friends and I've definitely made acquaintances.

I still have people who would drop everything for me but I don't talk to those people regularly.

Definitely feel like FH is best friend, but miss having that tight friendship with girlfriends that you talk to every day!

Maybe all of us lonelies will make some friends through this site!

I've been blessed with some good friends....

I have a total of 10 girlfriends that I can call at 3am and say I need you and will be there.

8 of them are part of my 'book club girls' we get together once a month to a discuss a book but more importantly we catch up on what's going on in our lives...in other words....bonding till 3 in the morning

And I have 2 girlfriends that I have known since I was 8 years old...we might not hang as much but we would do anything for one another.

Everyone should know from my posts that I have very few girlfriends. I can honestly say I have two close friends, but I know I am not their best friend. I don't really have a best friend (mutually) other than my FH. This wouldn't be a problem but I don't even have any non-close girlfriends. In my BP I have my 2 close friends, one friend that used to be close but is having problems now (see post about talking to my BM), and FH's 2 cousins. I don't have any girls that I hang with or go to the mall with. It's very lonely. I WISH I could come hang out with you girls but I'm in MD so it is soooo hard.

I'll tell ya, my FH has 4 really close guy friends and it hurts that I have no girlfriends. They his best friends and would do anything for him. I wish I had that.

I'll be your friend.....but there are voices in my head yelling to you to run...LOL!!! They say I am out of control and nutso...All because one time I yelled back at them in the middle of the library....sheeshhh...you would think the voices would know when you are talking to them....

Zero for me! Well, I have a best friend from high school and every time we get together its like we never were apart...but I don't see her that often.

I have two sisters so they pretty much give me all the female support I need.

It would definitely be nice to have a big group of girlfriends though.

I haven't even bothered to tell FH a thing about this....he'd cancel the internet connection and for sure tell my boss to disconnect me!!!
