I didn't think that so many people had such big center stones, I have 1.25 carot center stone, and I love it! I feel like mine looks big I can't imagine a 3 carot center stone!

You know what it depends on alot of other factors, like a stone in one shape can 'look' bigger than another sotne in a different type setting..I think as long as you love your ring and it suits you and looks good on your hand. That's all that matters.

Especially since no one is mentioning the clarity. You can have a 3 ct cloudy ring thats the same price as a .75 ct ring almost perfect clarity.

Your right color and clarity make a biiiiiiiiiiiig difference in the value of a diamond. I edited my post and added that info too.

We should re-name this post 'Brag about the size, color and clarity of your rock!'....Just kidding.....I never tell the size of my diamond because in all honesty, it doesn't matter....What matters is the thought and effort DH put into it!!! Remember girls, just because some people have smaller diamonds doesn't mean their DH/FH's love them any less than the girls with the bigger diamonds! To each his own!

Thats so true!! Thats why I hate these threads whenever they come up. I never post the size of mine either for the same reasons you stated. And you shouldn't say 'just kidding' because its true. This is a bragging thread, they always are.

mine is 2 ct.+ center Round diamond. 2 Bagetts on either side, and on each side of that is 4 Princess cut diamonds. Front and back of the band also has diamonds...

My ring is a 2.5 carat princess cut Lucida Tiffany Platinum Setting.

Alot of my friends had to help their FH pick it their rings but FH & I never shopped around for it but he knew what i wanted and its so special to me that he picked it all out by himself. I absolutely love my ring!!

I do not want to get anyone mad but I never understood why people were offended by these kinds of posts, stating what size your ring is has nothing to do with how much your hubby loves you, no one on here has ever knocked anyone because they had a small diamond its all about looking at pretty rings.

I don't want to start anything either, but if it was about looking at pretty rings, then people would post pics of their rings, not state all specs about them. Its that part that becomes the bragging thing.

I agree whats the big deal - how is it bragging becuase you say the size. I dont care or hate on the ppl whose ring is bigger than mine. I am in Love with my ring and its beautiful to me, thats why I named her Princess

I agree. That's why I don't post either. It's actually quite funny to me. I wouldn't believe half the stuff these people post anyway. BTW my ring is 5 carats flawless....

I am not offended at all by this post! I just posted my honest opinion...I love looking at everyone's pretty rings also!!! I just wouldn't go as far as to brag about the size, color and clarity of mine because I know it might offend people! JMHO

Me three!!! I have long thin fingers, and anything larger than a 1 carat center stone just looked funny on my hand!!! Plus I want to be able to put my hands in my pockets without a problem!! So thank God mine is a .75 center stone!!

I couldn't care less if people think it's small because I happen to love it. It's an original style which is why I had such a PITA finding a band to match it!!

It is probably hard for those who aren't in the position to understand... when most of the gilrs here are posting they have 1ct or bigger and yours is .25 ct, it will make you feel not so great. Notice that no one here has posted about her .25 ct ring. Why do you think that is?

I also have small fingers. I love both your rings -beautiful.
Not saying that .75 is small, but your ring looks like its bigger than that.

I dont think they would be offened, its like some of us have $100,000 weddings and some have $10,000 weddingseither way we love hearing all the details about them regardless of the cost.
