i went there a few weeks ago for an event in the tivoli room
the service is great. really attentive.
i didnt like my entree though, the eggplant parm.

they sey up a cute cappucino bar or something at the end. it was nice.

Ok girls so I just called Russo's and spoke to Toniann and she told me that the vendors are not included in the final count because they don't sit in the room. However, if u meet your minimum their meals are half off but they aren't counted as people in your room. i was nervous because the Tivoli has a max capacity of 260 and we're inviting about 280 (hoping that we'll get atleast 20 no's) and if i had to include my vendors (total of 14 people) in the final headcount i would be in trouble.

Hey ladies!

Just a quick note on the vendor seating - my band requires seating inside the reception hall, not with other vendors. I believe this is b/c they worry about their expensive equipment. I would check your band/dj contracts.

I just checked my contract with my band and it states the same thing. I'm using Mirage.

does anyone know how much you pay for your vendors if you haven't reached your min?

If u haven't reached your minimum and u want them to have a full meal then u pay full price for their plate. I might be wrong on this (I'm not 100% positive) but I think that if u feed them just cocktail hour, pasta and venetian hour (no entree included) it's free. I have to check on that in a few weeks when i go back to Russo's.

Check out Flowers by EMil - Carmine the owner is a sweetheart and he'll work within any budget you have. One of my best friends is also getting married at Russo's this coming December and she's using him as well. If you do a search on the board you'll find a lot of positive reviews. HTH

I love Carmine. I used him for my wedding and have used him for everything I do. If you would like to see some of my pics from my wedding, let me know.

I'm on it Nina I'll post the flavors first thing tomorrow morning. FYI: I have a big wedding coming up at Russo's on July 10th so expect a full review girls! This is my first wedding ever at Russo's so needless to say I'm very excited

Santina I can't wait to hear about your experience in July!!!!!! Hope you have soo much fun!!

Okay questions...I'm pretty sure I made them specify this in the contract. But...You know how we have the basic cakes to choose from....and none of them are very fancy schmancy....Do you know if we can aske them to put space in between the layers of cake....so that the Florists can fill in between layers with flowers?

I'm thinking that would make the cake seem nicer! Anyone know?

Just to clarify...like these..I know russo's has the round and sqaure(maybe not quite as big as these) but maybe they could put the spacers to put flowers in? I don't know why I'm stressing over a cake...but I am

I was just looking at the cake from the Russo's girl on Foto Verdi's site and its such a grand wedding but the cake is just.....real simple?

Anyone else stressing this?

omg Nina I forgot the paper with the flavors again - please forgive me I'll try to remember to bring it with me tomorrow - off the top of my head I can tell u a few flavors I do remember they have: cannoli, napoleon, carrot, pineapple and strawberry shortcake but there's about 3 more I'm leaving out.

I am more stressed about how it looks. I only hear raves about how fantastic the cake tastes!!!

But never about looks...seems to be an ongoing problem with brides complaining about the cake.

quick question: did any of you add some fish to the cocktail hour? I know that if u add the whole fish bar it's like $25 extra per person, but I think that u can add just one thing, like let's say lobster, and it's less money. Does anyone know the exact breakdown of this? Thanks
