Re: Make-up trial with Mia (pics) (EDITED POST)

She emailed me and said she could get me another make-up artist to fill in for her. She would get me the trial with that other artist for free (since I already paid for the trial). What should I do?

Honestly, if you liked her work, and she's recm'd them, I would go for the trial.

Re: Make-up trial with Mia (pics) (EDITED POST)

I would get my money back from Mia FIRST, then ask to see photos of this other m/u artist's work, and decide from there whether you want a trial with her or not.

I am so sorry that happened!

If you want to try another makeup artist, try Melinda, she is a vendor on here and she is great! my sister used her.

Re: Make-up trial with Mia (pics) (EDITED POST)

OMG! You should DEFINITELY get your money back... ALL OF IT. You wouldn't have gone for the trial if she told you she was booked! That was HER error!!! I can't believe it!

I LOVED Jacqueline Nicole! Go see her! She was PHENOMENAL... and SO nice!

Excuse me, but why only HALF!? It was HER error, and if you knew she was booked on your wedding day, you would have never GONE for a trial!!! Am I missing something here?

Re: Make-up trial with Mia (pics) (EDITED POST)

IMO, that is unacceptable.

I'd demand a 100% REFUND.

After reading what has gone on with this woman, I would never book her. Its also a hint that her name is ******* out

I can't believe that! It was totally HER error.

You wasted your money AND your time on her - and you should be compensated.

I had a trial with Jacqueline and I'm booking her! She's so terrific!!

Just wanted to let everyone know - I rely on this board a lot for my planning so I just wanted to put this information out there for others.

Re: Make-up trial with Mia (pics) (EDITED POST)

I'm glad you're going with JN... besides her gift as a makeup artist, I know she will also be a PLEASURE to have around the morning of our wedding! . congrats on booking JN! You're MUCH better off!

About the $$... we spend WAAAAAAY too much money on weddings to begin with to have to lose ANY money due to a vendor error!! Please try to get your full refund back from her... and let her know that your liweddings friends can't believe she didn't even offer to give the full $$ back! (I did that with another vendor that I canceled, and I got my full deposit back).
