Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

All I know is that my mom is majorly on my case about it b/c some friends told her they went to a wedding there and they didn't like the food. Now she is saying we should have looked at more places. I don't even know what to do anymore...I love it there...

That's strange. I never heard anything bad about the food. Maybe it was just that one person's taste and what they got. Flowerfield is one of the best places to get married and I am not just saying that. I can't believe your mom would be on your case about someone else's opinion of the food.

She's a very picky off the boat Italian woman and takes food very seriously.

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

Trust me when I tell you that I have searched high and low for someone to say something negative about FF's but everyone I talk to that has been to a wedding there has nothing but the most sweetest wonderful things to report. I hear you get tons of food, both for the cocktail and reception and that it is amazing. There are so many food choices to choose from that I cannot see how anyone would dislike it. My FH and I searched many places before looking at FF's and we've seen what's out there...Though FF is expensive, you really get the best service, food, decor, etc. You will be thrilled with your decision...Go with your gut is all I have to say, not what others are telling you.

Everyone that we spoke to that night and since kept telling us how much they loved the food and that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about. Certain members of my family are EXTREMELY critical and judgemental and they keep saying that it was the best wedding they ever went to.

What have you guys heard about the food at Flowerfields?? All of a sudden my mom is really concerned about it.

My family is very strict w/ the food also, and EVERYONE that I talk to and mention where i'm getting married the first things out of their mouths is how amazing the food is that my mom even said 'how great could this food be that everyone raves about it!'

This is the second time i've heard a bad comment about FF and trust me I did my research! I've never heard anyone complain about the food, they all act. rave about it! The only comment someone made (i don't even know the person) was how the CT room looked like an airplane hanger..but hey everyone has different taste right?! I had to disagree w/ that comment.

But don't worry about it the food will be fine, both of my parents are off the boat italians too trust me I know and i've heard good things

I'm doing all white, I liked the color green they had but i'm keep it at the white. My flowers are all calla lillies and greens...hope that helps

ps I went to FF to show someone and they were setting up for a wedding and the color the bride used was pink and it looked pretty in that room

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

I hate to keep barging in but we used the sage tablecloths and it was a big hit. I wanted something different because in my opinion everyone uses white. But anyway you go, you can't go wrong there

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

I really can't decide. I like the green too, but the off-white may look nice....
I'm having big bright fall flowers in high centerpieces, I think the green make ground it all....I dunno....have to wait and see

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

I was thinking of using the sage tablecloths as well but I ultimately decided to go with the off white. When we booked FF, the CH room was all white so I wanted the ballroom to be different. But now that FF changed the CH room giving it a darker feel, I wanted the ballroom to be bright. I got married on September 30th and it was awesome!!!!! Our guests are still commenting about the food and the service service. All of you brides have absolutely nothing to worry about.
