so far this was our favorite part : )

white cake for the whole thing then dulce de leche buttercream and a layer of caramel (my favorite, its not overally sweet so most people should be okay hahaha)

and rasberry buttercream and a layer of rasberry puree

i forgot to ask if they peel off the fondant or not...i think they do and the buttercream is under it

since they do a dessert room they put out some other flavors as well (not as part of the actual wedding cake). the other ones we picked - hazlenut, pistachio, choc w/choc fudge (i call this one a brownie hahaha), and banana (a bit random but it was yummy)....a little too much cake for me...but there should be no complaining from anyone about the lack of options

any other updates from anyone???

WOW!! your cake sounds great!!

I had my fitting last night! It went extremly well. I had nothing to worry about and I was driving myself crazy for no reason.

Next week we have our menu appointment with the East Wind

yay!!! did you take/post pics? im nervous about the 2nd fitting

finalizing the menu will be a great feeling. i think thats the one thing we have left that we're itching to take care of.

Hi Girls!!

Big big weekend! I had my shower!!! I was very surprised and it was more than i could have ever imagined!! I will post pics when i get them!

Tonight is my first fitting!! And we are having our menu meeting with the carltun tonight for our rehearsal dinner!

A little nervous for my fitting otnight!

congrats to those that have there license!!! We cant get ours untill after the 25th!!!! of course FH has been off all this week and when it comes time we can get it he wont be able to get off!!!! that is always how it goes!!!

oh boy it is really getting here fast now!!! ihave gotten in touch with some of my vendors and have set up meetings.

going to see CP sample on the 27th after my first fitting!!!

and the following week going to talk with DJ and Photographer!!!!

now i just have to get my lists ready!!!!

I need to get on top of wrapping my wedding favors! Hopefully I can get some of them done tonight! I feel like I am behind,

I have to go through my Groomsmen and BM gifts and make sure everythigng is set with them.

Also I need to find reader and parent gifts!!!

i am getting the parents tickets to a show- I think Jersey Boys- my fmil really wants to see that one and I got my folks an Young Frankenstine tickets!!

it just get to the point i had no clue what to get them- you know!! good luck on your shopping!!

I am so jealous of all you girls.. I have no desire to do anything! I still have to do the menus, programs, GM gifts, reader gifts, parent gifts, part of the BM gifts, order the boxes and wrapping paper and wrap them.

I know there is so much to do, but I dont want to do any of it!

I mailed out my rehearsal dinner invitations yesterday.... with each thing that i check off the list the more realer it gets.... i can not believe our month is almost here......

I still have so much to do!!!

Need to do:
Purchase or make ceremony programs
Pick up wedding rings
parents gifts
Order/make white sweat suit for the day of for me
Purchase Bride's shoes
Purchase undergarments
Pick out and purchase wedding jewelry
Purchase 'something to throw' for after ceremony
Place cards (have an idea)
Purchase cake topper
Establish seating arrangements
Select and order wedding cake
Sit for Engagement Photos
Finalize menus, song selections, timelines, and all details with all vendors
Obtain Marriage License
Finishing Shop & pack for Honeymoon
Attend bachelorette parties
Set aside time to write thank you notes for shower gifts (doing this a little at a time... i have 130 to write! )
Confirm all final payments, schedule, pick up times, head count, etc with all vendors

Hey fellow November Brides!

I go for my second fitting on 10.17
Two bridesmaids have gone for fittings and bought shoes, two others are lagging behind!
My veil is ready to be picked up at Tri-County
Favors are wrapped
Bathroom baskets are made (DIY)
Thank you brunch invites are made (DIY)
Hotel rooms are booked
Limos are booked

Things I can’t do yet or need to do…
Have my shoes dyed
Cake – they won’t let us deal with until October
Menu – we can’t do this until October
DJ won’t do final meeting with us until 10/25
Honeymoon is confirmed, paid for and set – info sent to me.
Honeymoon bathing suits purchased on sale at Lands End arrived the other day – ha ha!
Had my shower Sept 6th- we got like everything we asked for – best day ever!
Flowers need to be finalized two weeks before the wedding
We can’t meet with the Reverend until we get our license – his rules???

I still need to go for my trials for hair/makeup and do some more stuff obviously…

Last night FH and I

picked out our Menu for the Rehersal dinner
picked out Cocktail hour choices
picked out Reception dinner entrees
I aso now have 38 favors out of 150 wrapped (lol)

As of now we are at 225 invited
22 NO
91 Yes
112 Unaccounted for RSVP date is 10/01

Things are coming off everyone's list!

i feel like there is so much to do. we're going over the menu with our rh on wed and meeting with the florist on friday.

im just patiently waiting for the rsvps to come in. oct is going to be crazy with endless crafts!
