i've talked a bit about the honeymoon with FH, but we haven't decided on anything definite...how much longer do you think we can wait?

We're not going on our HM until January. I teach college classes so I dont want to miss the end of the semester, and then FH cant take off from December 22nd til January 1st. We booked a Caribbean Princess cruise from January 4th til the 11th. We're going to stay in PR one night before the cruise. We're looking to go to Costa Rica from the 11th to the 15th. The air and hotel portions havent been booked yet.

We made a list last night and it is LONG -- all to do by the end of March. And then my FH decided through in start House Hunting -- I had to push that one off!

Your FH should meet my FH...mine wants to start looking for houses too, but i keep telling him that we have to get so many other things in order first (we have a place to stay in mind in case we don't have a house/condo by the time of the wedding)...don't men understand that invitations are so much more important?!?!?!?

Apparently they think having a place to live is more important -- go figure! Did I add that I am not here for at least a week per month and then all of the other obligations we have -- it makes the end of march seem like tomorrow!

I'm going to be working on choosing invitations by the end of this month too. I like to do things early rather than wait to the last minute, so I'm trying to get a ballpark idea. So, I have a question for our November girls.....

When are you going to send out your invitations, and what date will be your RSVP date?

Thank you!! That helps, b/c my estimates were TOTALLY wrong!! I was thinking first week of September, but then that's cutting it way too close for missing RSVPs and OOT hotel bookings. Plus, as a teacher, the beginning of the school year is ALWAYS hectic, so I'd rather get the invitations done over the summer.

My wedding is Nov 16, so I plan to send out invitations by Monday, Sept 14 (2 months before the wedding) with an RSVP date of Friday, Oct 17 or maybe Monday, Oct 20 (1 month before the wedding)

Wow, you're going to send the invitations out 3 months before your wedding? Is it because you have an A & B list?

I'd be too scared to send invites out so early because people will inevitably wait until the last minute to RSVP, and when they receive it in early Aug and see the RSVP date is Oct 1, they'll put the invitation away and forget about it altogether...but maybe I'm just being a scardy-cat...
