Help me decide on my invite timing.
wedding is 11/08/
East Wind needs final count 10/24 (with seating arrangements etc...)
Hotel must be blocked for rates by 10/08

What should my rsvp date be and also when should I send the invites out?

rsvp should be back 30 days before wedding and invites should go out 6 to 8 weeks before wedding, this way if you have to call people who did not rsvp you still have time to change count.

hope none of us have that problem

I am sending my invites out last week in Sept- 8 weeks before my wedding my RSVP date is Oct 23
they have 4 weeks to mail back before my RSVP date this way I can call that first week in Nov and make sure if they are coming or not
my oversea invites I am mailing out a week earlier just to cover the mailing time.

That is what i was told my calligrapher to do, she wants them in august to do the envelopes.

Hi nov Brides

THis is all so exciting so not so new to this site but have no idea about threads, where do you find them i was starting at the begingng of this post and it was from 07 and I was so confused. How do you find these threads again?

WIth that aside. Nov is the perfect time b/c here in LI its not that cold out yet and its just such a wonderful time of year. Good luck to you all.

so far im good to go... finishing up the final guest list... and mom is looking for a dress...

everything major is done- if you saw my thread yesterday about my fmil outfit- then you would see my snag of the whole wedding- still not sure what to do about that one-lol talking to fh maybe we can get her to change her mind on that--

Ohhh I am doing ok.
-Found out that a few of my Aunts went shopping together and found their dresses. That is cute.

-FMIL is an pain and has not found a dress yet,,

-I have to order my dress by the end of next week

-My grandmother had a new dress that she didnt wear for my uncles wedding 2 years ago and was going to wear fo mine,, but it is too tight, lol so she wanted to go shopping.

Other than shopping,,, we are working like slaves to pay off the wedding.

-And this past week I have been a sentimental mess! LOL I am tearing up over the silliest things!

me too about the crying.. i was THINKING baout the 6 month mark and i started crying like a fool waiting for the bus!!!

i think thats cute that they all went shopping... FMIL i dont think will start shopping until i tell her my mom got her dress... i dont kno why she is not all excited or in a rush... i dont kno if she realizes that it takes time... (then again FBIL was married and she went through this before... )

i have NOT one penny... its BAD, im digging into my savings for now... when may 2nd comes im back full time at the 'bux and we will def get bac into working mode... one that happens i can REALLY start looking for a social work job. (i dint go to school to not get a social work job)

All my major vendors booked!! (FH just went to his family friends florist to book them this morning, woohoo!)

My dress is ordered
mom and FMIL dresses are ordered
I'm ordering my invites in about 2 weeks. Just waiting for mom and FMIL to finish getting me some addresses

Still need:
favors (know what we're doing just have to get it)
wedding bands
book RD (we know where just have to book)
Tuxes (not until sept)
BMs/GM gifts
My veil
hair/makeup trials

I think a lot of brides get this way,, emotional. There is sooo much going on. It can drive you a bit crazy.

im working on my invites now...and finishing up our linen search. we still have to book the limo for the bridal party but the limo company told us to wait!

i keep harassing my bms though about what they like and dont like cuz im looking for little gifts and such

then its onto the small details!!!! yikes!

i cannnnnt believe its getting sooooo close.

yeah and thank GOD i held onto that job!!!! bc if i dint i woudl be making NO $$$$ , jobs are so far and inbetween...

no invites yet... i have NO time with school and my BM wedding... FH and i are in their wedding and they are gettign married in less than a month... between that and graduating i cant BREATHE

once may comes we will be banging EVERYTHING out.
