FH is working on the placecards and I am going to meet my day of coordinator here shortly!! Next I have programs to finish OOT guests bags to put together and putting together the final touches on BM gifts.

Okay, my RSVP date is 10/1 and I am missing almost 1/2 my responses - what is up with people? This stinks.....

Me too! And I haven't even gotten responses from my mom or FH's! Not to mention all of our friends, who probably think I just know they're coming so they don't need to send them.
Girls, this is such an eye-opening experience for me! I think I've always been one of those people who sends the response back on the day it's due. But never again! From now on, I'm sending them back the day I get them.

I'm waiting for a ton of responses too! (We sent out 150 invitaions and waiting for 60 responses. RSVP date is 10/1)

I can't believe I lost my birth certificate. I always know where it is and now it's missing. My Dad has volunteered to go up to the town of oyster bay for me to get a certified copy. Isn't he the best!!!!!! Then it's off to get the marriage certificate. Has anyone gone to get one in Suffolk county, where and how long did it take? Not sure which office to go to.
I have no clue what to where under my dress. There's so many layers on the bottom....Do you think I need a slip????
Finally got in touch with the seamstress and got an appointment for Sunday for my first fitting. I'm starting to get nervous that it's all not getting done.
I feel like no one is getting married on Sunday the 24th of October but me. So many on the 23rd.
Now people are responding but not putting their name on the RSVP card (two this week)...UGGHHH!!! Would have been nice to make one less phone call.
got ours at the town of brookhaven took less than 15 mins

I am feeling pretty satisified with myself for making my RSVP date Sept 15it took another two weeks to really get all the RSVPs back.
I know a lot of people say you should RSVP one month before, but god, does ANYONE even READ the due date?

It's funny you posted that because I thought the very same thing!!! Holy heavens Friday is October! It came so quick, I'm glad I have 3 weeks into the month....I'M NOT READY YET!

i can't believe it is coming so fast. we still have so much to do, bu i know it will get done by the amount of work that we got done in our house this weekend.we have to do
place cards/seating arrangements
programs
tie bows/tags on favors
i am still waiting for 40 or so responses. we are going to be under our minimum. anyone know if halls will work with you, or if they just say that's your min. and too bad? do you think it would be worth a shot to ask?

omg!!!!
I was very productive this weekend which took a huge weight off my shoulders!!!
-- finished my seating
-- finished my votive placecards
-- packed up all my reception stuff and labeled all the boxes
-- purchased the cardbox and our Unity candles
-- got my eyebrows waxed and got a facial
-- finished printing my menus
WHew!!! I still haven't decided on whether or not to get a cake server set.... don't know why I'm deliberating so much over something so trivial!!
But that's it, I think... all my major projects are DONE!! What a HUGE relief! The only major things left to do are:
-- make my 'Thank you' sign for the infamous thank you pic
-- prep the bridal emergency kit
-- jewelry for my gown (yeah, still on that)
-- finalize & confirm details with all vendors
-- get baskets for the programs and other misc church stuff

Wow, you are right this week ends in October. Now I'm starting to get nervous. This weekend I got fitted for my dress, met with our Rabbi and took another dance lesson (I think we're actually going to do a real dance for everyone).I still need to find something for my bridesmaids and groomsmen
make OOT bags,
find a shawl or something to keep me warm, figure out what to do about jewelry,
seating arrangements and place cards,
bathroom basket stuff
There must be more stuff......can't remember.
This weekend is my bachelorette weekend. It wont be crazy, they're taking me to a spa in NJ (just the bridal party) and then we'll go out for a great meal (and martini's-though 3 out of the 5 are pregnant how wild could it be). Can't wait for the massage, my back is killing me.
Someone tell me what I'm forgetting to do.

Oh goodness....Friday is October, I guess I'm getting there.....This weekend we met with our coordinator at the Sheraton and did the WHOLE menu. From top to bottom.
Worked on seating arrangements.
We still need to do the actual place cards and a whole other list of things I don't want to think ok...did everyone get their marriage license???? I'm going on the 8th of October.

I'm not ready for October. I still have tons to do and FH can't really help me. I hate going to work and thinking all day what I have to do after work for the wedding. 19 more days of work.
