Ok girls i need to vent a little but its NWR

My parents have lost their minds. My parents have 2 really bad cracks in their bedroom that needs to be fixed and my mom and him are expecting myself and my 2 brothers to knock down the wall and put sheetrock up. Now my 1 brother is very handy and can possibly do it, but me and my other brother is not handy at all. As a matter of fact my 4 yr old nephew is probably handier than we are. Now I am really stressing about this. I know I cant do this and my father is insisting on us doing it. I can just imagine what will go on. This will not be good.

Oh and my dad refuses to pay money to get it fixed because 'why pay money when you can do it your self'

Sorry just need to get it out

Can you ask your brother the one that is handy, if he has any friends who can help? Or any friend no matter who is the friend. I've learned sometime a pizza works best as payment when money is tight. I've done that to move and painting a house. It’s just a thought.

I was actually thinking of asking a co-worker of mine and my brothers(the handy one) to help. He is great when it comes to things like that. But the thing is that my brother is his boss and I dont want it to get around (conflict of interests) Also we would offer to pay him and I know he wont take it.

IDK- maybe if I just ignore the situation it will go away

Hi Celia,
I don't have any good advice, sorry! But I'm here to listen to you vent. I woild probably just ignore the situation too, especially if your parents don't want to accept the fact that the best option is to just hire someone to do it!

I'm sorry I've been m-i-a a lot this week - it's been brutal at work and trying to finish planning and close on the house. So many phone calls back and forth between the seller's attorney, the bank's attorney, the title closer, the mortgage guy, etc. However, I found out today that we are about 95% sure we'll be able to close on 10/5.

Thanks for posting the pix, they really did turn out well!
Ray....I am soooo looking forward to hearing how the wedding goes.
Btw, if you want you can wear the birdcage on the side. Or you could even bubble up the veil and just wear it as a flower.
I think there is a photo in my old newsysuzy album.

Ray this is the picture of the birdcage and flower. Do what ever you like with it, you could even cut off the veil and just wear the flower.

Update: BIL made it through surgery ok - they put mesh flap in his bladder & removia the hernias. Unfortunately they found a mass on his kidney or liver (I forget now which my SIL said it was) - so he will have to have a separate surgery & biopsy for that. But so far everything else looks ok - thank you so much to everyone for their kind words & prayers!

I feel so blessed to have (indirectly - but hopefully soon DIRECTLY!) met such a wonderful, caring group of ladies that I hope to soon one day call my friends!
