I'm not skinny either but my FMIL gave me some control top granny panties as a late shower gift!



Yup - I'm still not over it, but at least I can laugh about it now.

I did but it was heavy and a bit puffy..would definately not need a crinoline under that thing..I want to have my mom see it though..I just went by myself just browsing and the woman was like..you want to try it on so I did

No, it doesn't look like it needs any type of slip underneath. I do really love it, it's a classic ball gown. Are there crystals on the lower half? From the pic I think I see some sparkle.

Yeah...a little then there is the ribbon trim..because the price is so good..I want it to be 'the one'

I'm getting two dresses too, but I need to try on the first. I am in love with a satin dress so I want see if I look good in it. These are the two I like.

That's why I want to try them both on. Would you believe now that I had my e-party now my mom friends make dresses. I think everyone is coming out of the woods when it comes to weddings. I was wondering can you take two dresses and make it one. Is is possible?

Well if they are a talented enough dress maker - I dont see why not. I saw Nicole Miller make a dress for one of her employees/associates that was a combination of 2-3 different styles on one of those wedding shows on TV...so I think it's do-able if you find the right dressmaker!

Just saw this post in BHB board - this girl was able to say she wanted different parts of different dresses so I dont see why you cant either...

'Valentina Bridal Salon in brooklyn! I actually just got back from there and i found my dress! They are great and Ms. Valentina herself was checking in me and offering her opinion, which I valued. She used to make dresses by hand for brides in Italy and has been in the business for over 40 years, They have their own designs which you have liberty to alter and change as you please, and they also have other designers like Eve of Milady and Jason Alexander. I ended up getting a Valentina design which I completely changed to my likeing. I used the top of one dress, the bottom of another, and the beading from a third dress! It is going to look amazing. Hope they produce more of it and name it after me! haha'

Thanks, that is so good to know. Since i have issues. I have to be different for myself, but easy for everyone else. I will keep everyone posted on the dress.
