Renay-my friend's daughter got married and had her seamstress put 2 dresses together to create her dream dress. It is defiitely possible but you need a great seamstress. Let me know if you need one...I have one I have been going to for years in W Babylon, not too far from you! She did my wedding and my sister's wedding, and does all my clothes alterations!!
I love both dresses BTW!!!!

You said you wanted that one to be 'the one' but did you get that the one feeling when you tried it on? Have you tried on others? I would make sure it is the one before you buy it. I see alot of posts of girls 2nd guessing their dresses.

Renay- I think the 2nd dress would look gorgeous on you! I love it

Renay -- Also keep in mind that sometimes, if you attend trunk shows, the designer is there. When I got my dress, Matthew Christopher was at the trunk show and agreed to customize the dress for me. My dress was originally strapless, but he redesigned it into a tank style with a v-neck for me. Since he was right there, it made the process really easy.

Thanks Megan, you looked so beautiful in your pics. I love the one with you and DH in the ballroom circling around the room...Great pic of the both of you having fun and enjoying each other. Those pics are priceless.

Thanks Celia, until I found that type of material I was still not liking any of the wedding dresses. It didn't help that none of my family and friends wanted to go dress shopping with me. All I heard was well it your day or it's your wedding do want you want.

If you only want it to be the one bec of the price...I would still keep looking. You want to get that 'feeling' when you try it on that you don't want to look any more If you go looking during trunk shows the dresses are discounted. That's what I did and I got 15% off on my veil, dress and tiara

I went last year and I have to tell you. You never know what you will win and we can all sit together. Yes the wedding is over the top but you will have ideas you never thought about for your big day or help someone else with theirs. Think about it before you say no. Yes it $60 per couple, but you never what you will win and CLM pull out all stop ewith the food 'lots of upgrades.' Just a thought ladies.

I'd really love to go - FH probably won't. I heard that they limit the number of NW tickets they sell though and I'll be a NW by then so I don't know if I'll get in. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.

I definately want to go to TWOTY

As for my dress..I was joking when I said because of price..but the price was unbelivable for the dress..I do like it but I will definately still be trying on dresses.

I have the week between Christmas and New Years off this year so I will be doing major dress shopping
