Hey all, thanks for the good wishes!
Wow...that made my night.:) Took my breath away to be honest!
Thanks for the prayers, good wishes, positive energy!

I didn't want to throw a bucket of cold water on this thread so I post about it on Newlyweds!

It was a good day for me, you can't think about it all the time, you need some balance!

I had my surgery 6 weeks ago, and started feeling better this week. I have some interesting choices ahead of me in the next few weeks, but for now I'm doing well.

I'll say I sure learned a whole lot about all of this the past few months.

Would love to come to the gtg in Jan, health permitting. It's a tough road but I am still quite alive and kicking.

Someone on the 08 board suggested having a white dress ball where we would all wear our dresses again..I think that would be great.

I am so glad you you are staying strong. We will try to have as many gtg for you to join us. I just wanted you to know we are here for you and you are not alone. We know life is out there and everything is not about the wedding, but never feel 'throw a bucket of cold water' will bring a downer to this thread. We are sister and as a family we are one.

I am a little upset- the invitations that we want are unavailable now. So i found almost the same ones for $100 more on another site and ones for about $20 on a different site. The ones that were $20 more you cant put our names on the front which is why I really liked the 1st ones. So now I dont know what to do. I went through a whole bunch of Invite sites and sent away for more samples. The thing is I really dont want to spend a small fortune on invitations that people are going to throw away. And I am so not creative to make my own. My budget for invites is $300 including stamps. With the original invites I would have been able to keep it to around $250.

I know I should have order the invites when I wanted a few months ago instead of listening to family who said wait till jan/feb!

Any luck with the invites? I didn't want to spend alot either, since like you said, they go in the garbage! i ordered mine from Carlson Craft. As you may remember, my grandfather owns a catering hall in Queens ( fingers crossed he sells soon) so we were able to get 40% off.
Do you have any pics of what you like? Maybe we can help.
