I had a great time dress shopping...I am not sure I will ever get the one feeling..but who knows..I was just glad I found something that I really liked

I think someone mixed up the dresses b/c they have the end of a rack for dresses that are discountiued but they are selling the samples

New to posting on this thread, but I LOVE that there are so many of us 'older' brides on here!

I'm wondering if any of you have done hair/makeup trials in the city and who you used.

I am definitely on the older end of the bride spectrum and keep reading about airbrushing and am wondering if it's stupid to even try it. I know everyone's skin is different. Mine is neither crazy dry nor crazy moisturized....but probably on the dry side (I guess).

My thinking is that I should go for a few trials to see how it looks. I just don't want to be laughed out of a salon when they see that I'm almost 40 and asking for something that could be almost impossible to work on me.

Any experiences you want to share? Any of you used someone good in Manhattan? I need to do hair as well and am considering extensions.

Hi and welcome to our thread! I dont think there is an age cap on airbrushing. Actually I think the airbrushing will help hide any of the little floors that us older brides have that the younger ones dont. I have seen older brides getting airbrushing done and they look beautiful. Just go for a few trials and see how it looks.

The HM was fantastic. I promise to post pictures as soon as I find some. We are in the middle of moving and I have no idea where anything is.....

My computer from home is disconnected (hopefully it will be hooked up this weekend in the new house). The actual move-in date is on Monday so I promise pictures will be here next week...

I used Gabriel from Gorgeous Bride NY for my hair (as well as for my mom, grandmother and BMs). The trial was at his studio in the city (midtown), but for the day of he came to the house. I was very happy with his work.

I'm doing better today. I think its going to take a while for me to get over it. I talked to my insurance comp and they are walking me through everything. I had Jerry stay with me yesterday till my brother got home. I just couldnt be by myself.

You tried calling? I didnt get a missed call or message. That was so sweet of you. I love you girls!!

I did get my MRI results back- I just sprained some ligaments in my knee and dont need surgery. What I think Renay is talking about is about an accident i had yesterday morning.
