I really dont have all too much going on with the wedding right now. On Tuesday I have a phone conference with the DOC that I won at the TWOTY.
other than that- nothing much going on!

Not me. :( DH's office (which NEVER closes) is actually closed, but I need to come in. So, of course, I'm getting the lecture from DH re not risking life and limb, blah, blah, blah.

I can't really take the day as a personal day because I just blew through two of my 3 weeks of vacation time for my endo surgery. Eesh!

Celia, congrats on the laptop and DOC. That's great news!

I'm doing my student teaching so the public schools are closed..yet I am going in to my paying job. Only b/c FH has a plow truck that can get through most anything..so I'm getting chauffered

Hey ladies...how is everyone?!! Haven't been on here in a while. I am still going through all my pics for my album...haven't even chosen our enlargement yet!!! SO happy we have a snow day tomorrow at school so I can maybe get some of these things done! :)

We made it through the snow over here- Only my car is still snowed in. I am hoping to dig it out Monday.

Hi Ladies - I'm sorry I haven't been on much lately. February is one of my busiest months at work so it's been exhausting! I promise to post more often in March!

That mailbox idea is adorable! I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. We spent the weekend looking at furniture - didn't buy anything because we want to re-measure everything but we got some pretty good ideas.

Kirsten - of course feel free to pick my brain about Thatched Cottage. I really loved my wedding.

The food was AMAZING! We were blown away when we went for our tasting. The day of the wedding, it was even better. People are still telling us it was the best food at a wedding. One thing people really loved was the mashed potato bar - it was the hit of the wedding!

Hello all! Just kinda bored so writing. My wedding is May 29th. I am laid off and it's winter so most everything is done and I'm kinda bored. :) I am going to be 45 in 2 weeks! Yikes!

This is my first wedding also for FH who will be 46 next week. No kids either, never pregnant. We are late bloomers and in many ways I feel like a much younger bride for my age. Yet, there are things that I have to deal with that younger brides may not have issues with such as my father being deceased and both of FH's parent's being deceased. Also, I don't have the young little body most brides have so that was tough trying on sample size 10 dresses and seeing all these other brides fitting into them so nicely. My friends got married a bit later as well but now they have kids around ages 3-7! So, it gets tough trying to call and talk on the phone, email, getting together etc. And, this also includes my BM's.

That is my story. We are also fertility testing so we can start asap once we get married. I might find myself in an odd category because at this age you'll get brides who were already married before and as I've read, are doing away with some traditions or not having the big hoopla because they've done it already which I understand.

So, looks like I'm a fat ole bride that's in this alone! Just kidding. I'm looking forward to my wedding. It's dragging though because I have so much time on my hands. What a complaint, right? :)

Irene, I'm 42 my first wedding FH has been married before. I am not a size 10 not even close or trying to be either. There are something I am doing traditional and some and I not. My first dress will have a train but the second will be to my knee. My father and stepdad are deceased. Yes, my mother is a black widow twice. My FH parent are both deceased. So there will not be any of those dances. I'm not doing a BP, but I am having the bridal shower and Bach party because I want one. You are not alone. You are going to have a beautiful wedding and be create. There are things about you and FH that can go into your wedding that can be traditional for you. Think on it, you never know what will pop up.
