I used Andrea from Lola Loves Makeup and absolutely loved her. I didn't do the airbrushing - it never looks right one me. She did my makeup, my mom's makeup, my sisters' and my 77 year old aunt's makeup and we all looked great!

May I ask why the air brushing didn't look right on you? Same reasons I mentioned? A heavily made up look?

Don't feel bad! I haven't been able to find anyone to do my makeup who hasn't made me feel like I have more wrinkles and bigger pores than I actually do! You're not old! Snap out of it!

Being a MK consultant, you can probably do your makeup better than anyone else could. Just because most brides get their makeup done, doesn't mean you have to. I've been practicing every day to try to see if I can do my own. You should do what works best for you. Your sis will understand and can always get hers done even if you don't...

I don't like airbrushing on me. I feel like it looks too dry. Andrea did an amazing job on me using traditional foundation.

I feel bad because my sister (MOH) loved it. I guess it did make me look too dry as if I had bigger pores and exaggerated fine lines. I will try somewhere else that uses more traditional foundation.

You are referring to air brushing looking too dry? That is a consideration as I will likely be dancing a lot at the reception and sweating but not at the church or gardens where the sun will reveal that heavy make up vs. the dark of the reception Hmmm.

I think my salon will be expensive. Any suggestions on trusted seamstresses that are very good with wedding gown alterations and not as expensive?

the Newlywed Luncheon...check out the NW board and there are a few threads about it. :) A couple of the gals over there have gotten tons of prizes from vendors donating their time/services like a Trash the Dress shoot, maternity shoot, gift certs for spa services etc!

YES!! I don't know where you live but my seamstress, Jo, has been my seamstress for everything since like the 1990s. She is reasonable and a great seamstress...in West Babylon...did my sister's wedding gown and all of our BP dresses, plus my BP dresses too (my wedding gown didn't need alterations). Her number is 631-661-4576...GL!!
