When was your RSVP date...mine was Monday
6-26-06, and I'm still waiting for about 30 more households. I have 116 Yes so far.....I find this the most stressful!!!!

I hear ya...I feel like the moment I get paid, there is another thing that needs to be bought for the wedding day, honeymoon, or our new home. But it is all for a good cause...so I don' t mind.

csui25 - congratulations on finally having your BM dress...you must be so excited. It seems that everything falls into place somehow or the other.

I got my first response yesterday....so I am excited. I was suprised because I sent them out on Saturday. This just means, our month will be here before you know it!

We are getting discouraged. We sent our invites out about 2 weeks ago, and a lot of people are telling us that they have not received them yet. These are individuals that live inthe 5 boroughs!

One person told me that their invitation arrived partly shredded!

I dunno what to do...we don't have extra invitations to send out a second time!!!

Just an update, the people who did not receive them got them on Wednesday. it seems like they were just sitting somewhere at the post office, and they only mailed half of them when I submitted them. At least they got them, hopefully they don't take forever to RSVP. Our RSVP date is 7/19.

Now that the weekend/holiday is over just wanted to see how my fellow August brides are doing.

For myself:
The RSVP's are pouring in!!!

I still have to purchase some minor things and get some stuff for the honeymoon. Then it is scheduling all those final appointment with vendors. Finally, there is the putting together of the programs, seating charts, and place cards.

I can't wait until this planning stuff is done.

hey ladies!!

My rsvp's are coming in as well. Right now we are up to 107 people. We are getting a nice steady amount of 'nos' so Im very happy about that. (I'm bad, yeah I know) Tomorrow I am meeting with my videographer, Saturday is my hair/makeup trial and Monday is my meeting with my DJ!!

So exciting!

Best part is... Right now I am updating my resume. I need to move on from this place.

Next month, I am going to be a !!!!

Hey everyone, I thought I'd join in the Aug 06 thread...I'm getting married 8/11 at Westbury Manor. I can't believe that so little time is left! I just read some of your posts, and the invitation thing can be very stressful. Our rsvp date was July 1st and we still haven't heard from 40 guests! People just tend to get a bit forgetful...I used to do the same thing when I got invites, look at it and put it aside. I guess I'll wait til next week and start calling and harrassing people! Scary how time creeps up, huh? We're going to be married ladies soon!

I'm just about at my minimum....I need 150; I've got 148. And we're waiting on about 35-40 RSVP cards. I really don't understand why people can't just send their card back if they know they're coming. Yesterday one person told me that they lost the RSVP card and had I not seen them at a BBQ, g_d knows when I would have their answer.

I'm very nervous that FILs will not make their follow up calls (RSVP date is tomorrow) and most of the outstanding cards are theirs. Oy!

It's hilarious, we were at a friend's bbq this weekend, and about 30 people invited were there, not one of the RSVP'd yet! When we walked in and was greeting people, just about all of them were saying 'Oh yea, I need to send back that card!'

our friends are procratinators!!! We expect them to start pouring in mid to end of next week, since our respond date is 7/19.

I feel the exact same way. Our limit is 150 and we invited like 160. People are coming that we didnt expect. Hopefully not everyone will bring a date.

Ha, we got four more yes responses, and two no's. When we got back from our DJ appointment, I played my answering machine and people actually left messages apologizing for their tardiness. I hope today brings back a lot of my rsvps.
The DJ went great! We are using Bravo Sound and we went over everything detail by detail. He put all our ceremony music into a special file for us. I love feeling productive.

As far as weather goes, I'm hoping for a cool August day too! When I went to WM last year and booked, it was the same week we are getting married this year...and last year was gorgeous! It was like in the mid-70's and not too humid at all. Lets hope for a great august! Outdoor ceremony baby!
