Re: Official August 2006 Thread. Come on in.

That is exactly how I feel. I have been planning this wedding for 2 1/2 years. Im done. I have had it with all the planning & anticipation. LETS GET THE SHOW ON THE ROAD ALREADY! The only thing that is keeping me grounded is the fact that we already live together, so I know what to expect after the wedding is over.

Im so happy to be an August bride & plan with you girls. It has been quite a journey!!! Maybe after August we can have a GTG or something. I know that it will be virtually impossible to try to do this now. We are all going nuts with our last minute runarounds!

Does this board rock or what????

Re: Official August 2006 Thread. Come on in.

I am so happy that it is almost here! I just want to have a great party! Things to do:

finish programs
make bathroom basket
write out placecards
alpahbetize place cards
pack up favors for catering hall
finalize and confirm 3 more vendors
pack for honeymoon
move a few more things into the house

I know I am missing something!

Janie you are too funny. I think after all the August weddings, I wouldn't mind a GTG....but you are right planning one now would just be too insane. I don't even think I have a free weekend from now until a week after my honeymoon.

You must be so exciting that your day is almost here. It also seems you got a lot under control. I on the other hand still have plenty to do.

I have to finish and print programs
final fitting
finalizing and gift wrapping bridal party gifts
write place cards out
pick up favors
finalize with a few vendors
buy some clothes for honeymoon
prepare seating chart (of course if I ever get the rest of my RSVP)
pack for honeymoon
prepare rice candy packets
oh and totally NWR: paint a whole house.

Why does this list seem longer than I thought....and that is even with things I know I forgot.

I agree I think I would be a lot more nervous if I didn't live with my FH. I am nervous that I will forget to do something. The list is so long

That looks really cool. You must be very crafty. I couldn't even imagine attempting anything like that. Good luck at michael's.

Re: Official August 2006 Thread. Come on in.

Thanks girls! It's good to hear that I'm not the only one feeling a little bit of the bridal blues!

Three weeks to go! Still lots to do -

choose ceremony music
programs
menus
petal cones or something
comfirm vendors
honeymoon clothes
attendant gifts
parent gifts
OOT bags
bathroom baskets
placecards

ugh!

Do you guys think that rose petals to be tossed after the church ceremony could go in organza bags? I have tried to make petal cones with no luck, and I don't want to spend more money by ordering them. So last night I thought about just putting them in organza bags - found them cheap on this website somewhere. What do you girls think?

So true, I was the MOH @ my sisters wedding and I asked her the other day how did she distribute the wedding rice. I completely forgot how I ended up with the rice or how it was packaged. So much goign on that day, evne the guests are wrapped up in the moment.

August Ladies, I just realize we are almost there to our month. The waiting will soon be over.

How's everyone and everything going?

Who's the first August bride to get married?
