Has anyone gotten their invitations yet? If so, when are you sending them out and when is the RSVP date?
I think Im sending them out July 24. The RSVP date is August 27. Should I send them out earlier?

I didn't get my invites yet! I'm workin on it!!!!
I am probably not sending them out unitil August and RSVP will be September 1

I got my invites in yesterday. I am mailing them out sometime in August, but my RSVP date is Sept. 10, and the invite lady said that was EARLY....

I'm in the process of getting them made. I couldn't find anything I liked so we're going the custom route. I'm shooting for sending them around July 16th, with an RSVP date of August 27th.

Do you think 6 weeks between mailing and the RSVP date is too long? We have a lot of OOT guests.

We just ordered our invitations...our RSVP date is Sept. 1st also...we'll probably mail them the last week of July.

Paige, dont worry about the dates. It seems we are all falling in the same 'time frame'. I was told to send the invites out 10-12 weeks before the wedding with a rsvp date of 6-8 weeks before the wedding. This is all depending on how many OOT guests you have and if you have a 'B' list of guests. I also know of some brides that send out the OOT invites out 1 week ahead of schedule to give them the extra time to make accomodations.

ETP - I made an early RSVP date since I read so many horror stories about not receiving them on time. I wanted to give it an extra 'cushion' week for late entries.

You should check out wedding bands at Fortunoff, I don't know what your price range is, but we got ours for a great price. FM me if you want details on prices.

Right now, I'm in the process of helping my mom out with my shower...and ordering our favors.

I still have to order invitations, I keep putting it off. I really should get moving on this, I feel so far behind.

We still have to get the rings too. Atleast we finally booked the honeymoon.

I think we're going to try to work on invitations this weekend. FH is being a little bit crazy about the rsvp date. I think August 27 is ok, but I would make it any earlier.

My HM is a surprise, but FH sort of told me where we were going last night when we were discussing the $budget$.

I'm sort of disappointed to know -- since he made such a big deal out of making it a surprize, but then again I'm glad to know that he's been thinking about it.


As for invites -- I think I sort of screwed up on this, but its too late now.

(Long story short we have at least 2 different batches of invites being sent out at different times. The first batch went out with an RSVP date of July 1 (I know its crazy early) and the real invites will go out in August with a Sept 1 RSVP date.)

On the bright side I LOVE my invitations. I had the wording printed and now FH and I are hand-painting them -- and they actually look good!!!

Well, we finally booked our HM... Turks & Caicos, Parrot Cay. We're very excited to have that taken care of!!!

I'm making our invitations, and finally have a prototype completed and all the paper purchased. Now I just have to make 136 of them!

Today I'm off to buy my bridesmaids gifts and look for a headpiece and veil.

The list of things to do is still 10 miles long, but we're making progress.

With regards to the shower...I'm having 2. One with his family upstate, which I know about, and one down here with my family, which is supposed to be a surprise. My mom slipped and mentioned the month, so that much I know. And last night when I mentioned Tutto Pazzo burning down my mom and sis went into serious panic mode... so I'm thinking it was supposed to be there!!! But that's all I know. I'd prefer it not be a suprise, but they want it to be, so I'm not going to argue.
