Am I that behind?!!!!

I don't think so... There are a few reasons I'm getting them out so soon:

1) Half my wedding guests are OOT and FMIL wants them to have enough time to book hotel etc...

2) My response date is 9/1 and I KNOW we're going to have a lot of people late in replying. I want enough time to hound people.

and

2) They are DIY invites that I have been sweating over for 9 months. I want them out of my apartment and out of my life!!!!! (It's been a looooong project!)

All I have to say is that there are boxes all over my room.....candles, invites, church stuff, etc.

The man at the Post Office said that the best time to bring them in to get hand cancelled is Saturday afternoon's b/c they aren't busy so that's when I plan to bring them next week!!

Dumb question, what does hand cancelled mean? Is this something I should know about??

It means that they hand stamp the post mark over the stamps (it means cancelling them so that they can't be used again) on each invite rather then sending them through the machines. This way they won't get all bent up, creased and stuff.

Ours are going out this week! Just waiting for my stamps to arrive.

And.... my shower was yesterday!!!! It was the first of 2 (one here with my family, and one upstate with his). I was totally surprised and it was SUCH an awesome time!!!! As soon I get pics, I'll post 'em.

When are you planning to have your bachelorette parties? And where???

I'm going to help my MOH plan my party because most of my closest friends are guys---I'd only have about 6 women if it were just a girl thing.....so I need to find a few places in the city to have a 'mixed' party. Also, most of the people (similar to me) are not the 'club' type---something fun, but low key where we can carry on a conversation.

Any ideas ladies????

I think I'm going to plan for the night of September 30th---the week before. So many people have them months before, but I like the idea of having it right before the wedding.

I think we're going to do the bachelorette party in the middle of September sometime. My sis (MOH) insists on planning the whole thing, so I have no idea what we'll be doing!

Our invites are on the last stage of assembly. Just have to put the stamps on the envelopes and seal. I think we're gonna send them out on Saturday.

And my first dress fitting is Tuesday!!!!

Time is FLYING!!!
