Re: Swan Club Brides
I blocked rooms at the Wingate Inn. The rate is $139 and we are not responsible for any rooms that do not get booked. They are also keeping the hotel bar open until 3am for our guest so we can have an after party. This is being provided free of charge. If we are able to get 15 rooms booked, they will provide a free shuttle to our guest, if not they can still arrange a shuttle at a minimal cost. They have been great to work with so far.

Re: Swan Club Brides
Hey Ladies! Just got back from the Swan Club. We had lunch and took a few pics. Everything was excellent. I also asked to see some pics of the cakes and was quite relieved... one was the tiered cake with the columns in between (it was ok ...there were plastic swans all over it) but there was another pic of a round 4 tiered cake that was beautifully decorated with icing, white roses and blue flowers. I thought it was perfect so one less thing to worry about. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Re: Swan Club Brides
Hey Ladies. I got married yesterday
The food was great and the infamous cake looked beautiful and tasted great. At the last minute the Maitre'D was switched on us (He is new at the Swan Club) and to be truly honest with you if it wasn't for our MC I would have been lost! Our Maitre'D was absent most of the time. When he was there he was great but I just assumed that our Maitre'D would be there by our side the entire time. Our guests didn't know where to go and they were not greeted upon entering the reception room. The placecards were not put in order and the favors weren't distributed the way they were suppose to. We also got there an hour early to take pictures and they wouldn't let us because they said another bride was outside. I had previously informed them that my fiance and I were not going to see each other until the ceremony so I needed to take as many pictures as possible. My fiance now husband
waited 15 minutes outside before being greeted. I on the other hand was greeted immediately. I really felt that the wedding upstairs was more important to the Swan Club than ours. I couldnt' take pictures because of that bride and my orginal Maitre'D was switched on me and given to her. No bride should feel that way. Nonetheless, I didn't let that get in the way of our day. I didn't complain and I didn't tell our Maitre'd how we really felt. My husband says that we shouldn't have given him anything because he was gone most of the night. My mother in law had to help the guests with the placecard tables and give out the extra favors that weren't placed correctly on the tables. She shouldn't have to do that. My personalized aisle runner was not placed out at during the ceremony. They said it wasn't long enough but they were the ones that provided it for me to personalize. I think the truth is that they forgot to do it and used that as an excuse. They tried to make it up by having it out for us during the reception. But come on. I hope that you ladies will make sure you speak to someone about making sure this doesn't happen to you! But I'm sure you will have a beautiful day! Each wedding is different and I hope they go above and beyond on your wedding day the way they should have gone out for us. I will post pictures when I get back from my honeymoon. Best wishes for a wonderful wedding
