Well.. when I first started planning I had a prelininary list of just family and a few friends..... I though this room would be perfect... I love the look and feel of the room... but then my FH tells me he needed to invite additional guests... so right now its about 120.... and if I had known that I would have booked another room.. and I was tempted to book another hall with a bigger room, since all the rooms at the S.C. are booked that day.... but we had a discussion and we don't want to lose our deposit and the additional payments that were made...... so we are just hoping for the best.

Did they put the ribbon on it? If so, did you have to provide it?

I hope that it works out, but I thought that the contessa room hold around 120 or 130 people....I think that I will be inviting around 100-120 people also...How much people do you have to guarantee for the camlot room....

Re: Swan Club Brides
They say it holds up to 140.... the minimum for Camelot is 165 I believe. But if you know for sure that you will have 120 tops.. then I would stick with the Contessa room... my FH 'additions' would have put us over 150!

Ladies, I feel a bit disconnected from the Swan Club right know. I found out on Wednesday that Dan Rice no longer works there. He was the person who I always spoke to when I had a question or concern. I felt so comfortable with him. I called on Wednesday and they put Sandra on the phone. She is going to be our Maitre'D. She seems very nice but I've never heard of her. Has anyone ever met or dealt with her? I just don't like having people switched on me.

Hi,The same thing happened to me. I had Michael, but one day they just told me that Sandra was going to be doing my event. Michael has been sort of around, but I'm not even sure he is going to be there the night of my wedding (this weekend). Sandra seems nice but she isn't too experienced. When I expressed concern Michael said she is 'one of the best' and that he could switch me if I wanted. But since I really only wanted Michael to be doing the event, that wasn't super helpful. So we've been working with Sandra, who overall has been okay. I've been a little more demanding than I would have likely been if Michael was still my contact there, but Sandra always has been able to find out the answers to questions, requests if she doesnt know the answer (which is often). Anyway, I will post after my wedding on Saturday and let you know how things went with Sandra, and hopefully that will ease your mind a little!

Re: Swan Club Brides
LADIES:I spoke with the owner, Rob Trunz, on the phone the other day because Paul was supposed to be our Maitre'D and suddenly when I called to schedule an appt. for our menu, it was Edgar. At first I really did not get a great vibe from this guy, but Mr. Trunz assured me that if after meeting with him for the menu, if I still don't like him, he will personally switch me back to Paul. Paul had taken over the Camelot Room and wanted to do a smaller room so when they hired Edgar, they made the switch. Edgar worked for years in a rather swanky place from what I was told and is actually quite experienced...more so than Paul (and I believe Paul is Mr. Trunz's son, so it must be true). As brides, we get attached to our 'contacts' and sometimes lose sight of what the new guy (or lady) can do for us. These people move around and don't stay at the same place forever....it's rare when a person does, that is just how the hospitality/service industry is.....I can't tell you how many places I've waited tables in the past b/c you just keep moving on to the next best thing.
As for Sandra, she handled my original complaints the other day, was quite professional and followed through. If this is any indication of how she performs for weddings, you all have NOTHING to worry about! She was very friendly and apologized for my frustrations rather sincerely. I will let you all know how it goes on Wednesday, but it should all be fine...in fact, they had a wedding on Friday evening that I semi-crashed b/c I went to pick up a fresh menu and the staff of 'greeters' were great, friendly and smililng. We are all going to have fantastic weddings there!!!

Re: Swan Club Brides
Thanks Cheryl! I had my brother pick up my aisle runner yesterday because I'm going to personalize it and she made sure that he got it. We'll see. Hopefully, it will all work out
I just feel that when you make a connection with a vendor they look out for you more rather than a stranger for which your just 'another' bride. Thanks again!

Hope you have a beautiful wedding! I hope that everything works outs! Are you in the garden room? I think that maybe she's the maitre'd for the garden room or do they switch rooms?
