Also, I looked on Alight.com. . . I saw a dress I may want to order for my bridal shower. I don't know what size to get. Has anyone ordered from them? What are the dresses like?
Thanks!

I bought a jean skirt from Alight. I ordered the size I am in , and it was just a little too tight. I had to lose some weight to get in it. I recommend getting a size larger. I am not sure if it;s all their clothes. but to be on the safe side.
Good Luck !!!

Everythign I have bought from them ran small, so order the next size up to be on the safe side. I did alot of returning.

Good morning lovely ladies!! My name is Gabi, and I want to weigh less than my FH!!

I too, am a chubby wifey [to be] but am working hard to lose as much weight as I can before the wedding. Last year I lost about 40 lbs on Jenny Craig, but then got engaged in August, started eating ice cream every night and went out to a lot of dinners, and gained back 30 lbs!

So, a little over 4 weeks ago, I started WW Core and the Couch to 5K running plan and I am down 10 lbs!! Less than 6 months to go... Then I can finally eat!! Yay!! It's great so see all of you girls helping out with advice, humor and acceptance!!

Have a great day girls!! You are all gorgeous!!

You are so sweet !!! We are almost date twins. mine is the 22. YEA !!! September ! I have done ww in the past and it works!!! Good Luck !

Thanks Christy!! I've been on WW a few times and it has worked in the past, so I figured I'd do it again. Jeny Craig was great but I got sick of the food!

Yay! Another September bride!! It's like the new June! And I love the Log Cabin HM idea!! And your home is beautiful!! Do you live in TN?

WW was good. I just went into my comfort zone with FH but I had lost 117 on it. Nutrisystem was good to. 23 in a month. But you should have seen FH's face after the allergic reaction hit. Poor think looked like he had this horrible disease.

September brides rock. I also wanted Sept because it's not as hot and I won't sweat all my make-up off. We actually rent log cabins for weekends sometimes and I am never more relaxed. But this cabin is in Pigeon Forge where we are getting married and we get it for 2 weeks. So excited. Thank you about my home. We moved in a few months ago. So much work to do. Makes me tired just thinking about it. No I do not live in TN. I am actaully in Woodstock, GA. It's on the outskirts of Atlanta.

My Mom lives in Alpharetta, GA. Is that near you? It's beautiful down there. Too bad FH and I can't move!! Though I heart NY, we could afford a really beautiful home anywhere but here!!

Hi my name is Georgia and am currently plus size. I have been going to the gym and doing weight watchers.

Hey date twin. I'm getting married at 4pm though. I've joined WW, but I threw my back out. So needless to say the plan went out the window and I've gained back 6 of the 6 & 1/2 pounds that I lost. I guess I should be happy that I didn't gain the other half.

I'm getting back on track now and I'm hoping that I lost something. I'm going to PT 2 days a week and I'm feeling more confident now to get back into the gym. My PT is actually in an Equinox gym in the city. Lot's of pretty people in there, but I think that's what I need to get my but into my gym.

Re: The Official Big girls thread!!!

Well you don't want her to suffer though. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. We've always had 2 dogs at a time. The worst thing for me was my favorite doggie muggsie, oh she was a beauty and so much fun.

At that time I had broken my foot and was in a cast, she was having a heart attack and my phone was out. I never ran up the stairs so fast with cructhes before in my life until that day. Unfornutately it was too late. I'm welling up now. I coulnd't save her, but I wouldn't have wanted her to suffer either.

I have pics of my two gals in my ablum. Sheba & Smokie. My father brought home another dog (Sheba) a few days later from the same shelter. Ofcourse I wasn't ready for it, but she reminds me so much of my muggsie.

Cheer up and you'll do what's right for your dog.

i will be plus size for our wedding too. fh does not care. says he loves me no matter what. how do you get past the fear of trying on gowns?

Just go for it. For me I was mortified that the girl had to help me with my gown, but she made me feel so comfortable that it didn't bother me anymore. I just kept on trying the dresses. I got compliments from other brides too. One girl came up to me while I was waiting and said how beautiful I looked.

That made my day.

Girls, also try www.igigi.com. They have some great stuff. Nordstroms has some amazing plus size dresses as well. Old Navy's PS stuff fits great also. I've ordered many times from Alight and wasn't thrilled with their stuff, but some of it's alright. Runs a little small.

As for trying on gowns, I was soooo putting it off, but as soon as I put one on, I realized they can actually make you look better! Make sure you get one that covers up what you don't want seen and accentuates what you like. Check out my album for my dress. It made me look like I have a waist and just hid everyhting. My sister and I were amazed!

Thanks for this!!!

Oh thank you so much. I really do love the dress, I feel so comfortable in it and can't wait to dance the night away. I've been the same way, yo yo dieter my whole life. I'm 5'11, I can carry pretty well, but I would just love to lose 30 pounds. I would still be considered obese from the dr.s point of view, but I would feel very sexy back at that weight. . My FH loves me the way that I am so I don't mind as much anymore. I haven't bought clothes in a while though. It will come off when it's ready.
