I'm so sorry for you and your cat to have to go through this. I'm glad he is home with you and your FI. I know how much the little guy means to you. Me and my FI love our little ones as if they were our kids too.

Hey Ladies,
Im a 'chunka' as well! I lost 35 pounds doing WW and gained back around 10. I lost the weight quickly..within 5 months and gained back the 10 in about 5 as well. I know once I get back on my diet I can do it b.c I've done it once before but I cannot get back my will power for some reason. You would think that the wedding coming up so soon would help jump start the diet again but nope, instead its 'I'll start tomorrow' and its nothing but a snowball effect.
I know I have to light a fire under my rear end and get cracking on this diet. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I'm in the same boat as you, a few years ago I lost 100 pouds. When I hurt my back and had to take Meds. I gained alot of it back because of the Meds. I have the will power I just wish that I could work out the way I use to....I did WW and it didn't work for me, so now I'm using Hoodia and it's working out great!!!!!!! You will get your Will Power back, Just tell yourself, I can do it!!!!!!! Don't let anything or anyone stop you!!!!!! You can do it!!!!!

Hey date twin. I'm getting married at 4pm though. I've joined WW, but I threw my back out. So needless to say the plan went out the window and I've gained back 6 of the 6 & 1/2 pounds that I lost. I guess I should be happy that I didn't gain the other half.

I'm getting back on track now and I'm hoping that I lost something. I'm going to PT 2 days a week and I'm feeling more confident now to get back into the gym. My PT is actually in an Equinox gym in the city. Lot's of pretty people in there, but I think that's what I need to get my but into my gym.

I go to X-Sport as well...after work really early in the morning (like 4:30am) I am also a plus size bride. After the horror of trying on dresses I joined the gym. I was ranging anywhere from a 16- to an 18, depending on the dress, but for the most part I didnt have trouble until it came time to zip up the dress to the top. My boobs are HUGE (and this is after a reduction!) So I will probably have to go up a size to accomodate 'The Girls' The sad part for me was watching all of these girls look like princesses coming out of the dressing rooms, trying to decide on getting that size 4 dress or going for the 6!

I have a question...has anyone been treated umm differently because of their weight by sales people?

I am trying to figure out if I am being ignored and mistreated because I am heavy or if it is because I look very young or because I do not dress very well....maybe all of the above....

I don't know...but I am becoming very self conscious and depressed.

Everytime I go into a store there is a gorgeous bride being fawned over and I have to wait thirty minutes or more for someone to give me their time...they make eye contact and I walk over and they turn their backs or they say derogatory comments such as : 'Whose wedding is it.?' with a tone that insinuates it couldn't possibly be mine. I have my ring on hello!

Today I walked in and they turned their back on me. A nice old man I think worked there finally came over to me when he saw them ignoring me...two women with the very beautiful bride...I think she was a bride..she could have been there for the prom; I am not sure her mom was there....So anyway he comes over and I ask to see a catalogue to look at favors..since there are boxes blocking everything and he asks the woman and she is like the store IS the catalog. really nasty. He says but we could show her the catalog too. And she repeats even nastier she can (could) look around the store. I was walking out and the poor man was still talking about the catalog! I feel bad for not thanking him, but I was holding back tears at 31 years old for goodness sakes!

I think I am becoming eeyore. Maybe my tail was missing or something. All I know is I am internet shopping from now on.


I was just wondering if it is just me.....is it the heaviness (which will not come off by June)
or the youthful look or the fact that I wear jeans everywhere? Or maybe the fact that I am becoming depressed?

AWWWWWW I get that sometimes but then I get an attitude and start doing stuff myself and then the sales people will finally come over The most recent place this happened was at David's Bridal and when they finally came over the sales girl kept talking to my MOH like she was the bride!!! But for the most part I just go in stores and just try to be confident if that makes any sense at all cause I'm just rambling now lol getting sleepy
