Re: THE OFFICIAL SCRAPBOOKERS THREAD!!!!!!!!
Laura...I use some computer programs to scrapbook. I have some Creating Keepsakes Font program that is fantastic!! Its so worth the money!!
I also have others where you can make pages, insert pictures then print them out. I dont like that program as much because I like the feel of paper and the different texturs that haveing real pics on a page!!
I am so excited to hear that other are getting into card making!! WE should have our own thread about that!! LOL

Re: THE OFFICIAL SCRAPBOOKERS THREAD!!!!!!!!
See Lisa, I didn't need to hear the CK font program was worth the money. I have been on the fence about that
I do computer journalling and titles but haven't done anything else on the computer.
Laura has a good idea put all the links in one post. Maybe we can FM them to Tammy & she can put them in the first post?
And Ron-WHERE IS OUR CRAFT TAB????????????

Erica & LisaI think you ladies answered my question before I even asked it-- I was going to inquire about card stock and see what you ladies recommended
Thanks for the link
Laura
ETA- what do you do about envelopes if you order the cardstock separate?
Here is the software that I bought (if anyone is interested)

Re: THE OFFICIAL SCRAPBOOKERS THREAD!!!!!!!!
Laura...I buy my envelopes at STaples. They sell the standard sizes, thoese being as follow:a size to fit an 8.5x11 piece of paper folded in half
and
a size to fit an 8.5x11 piece of paper folded in 4's
I hope that makes sense!!
Michaels sells the cards and envelopes in on package and they are a little smallers then a 1/2 sheet but bigger than a 1/4 sheet. I like to use those because they are already scored!!

Re: THE OFFICIAL SCRAPBOOKERS THREAD!!!!!!!!
I have actualy made my own envelopes as well...I turn the card so that it is angled on another piece of paper (and leave a little bit of space) then I fold the flaps down and glue with a glue stick...I would love to make a template for envelopes...so that they can always match...
I'll have to check out staples...

Re: THE OFFICIAL SCRAPBOOKERS THREAD!!!!!!!!
OK ladies-- I thought I would show off some of the pages I did this weekend--- the best part is I can see myself improving --but I still have ways to go
I am amazed when I see some of the work you ladies have done (and now I see how you spend so much money!!!)
But here are a few pages that I just finished
And I finally started my wedding scrapbook(not bad we have been married for over 2 yers!!!)
Because of the sheet protectors I was getting alot of glare-- any way around this?

Re: THE OFFICIAL SCRAPBOOKERS THREAD!!!!!!!!
Laure - my DH think it's some sort of cult
He is getting used to the trips to the scrap/craft stores and knows to save tickets & brochures from places we go to include in the books.
