I really like the ying-yang, double happiness symbol and our name piece of it - love the symbolism of it all, but its unfortunately a very small section of the whole piece.

OMG ladies this thread is funny. We just registered and my biggest fear is people knowing we have a registry then taking it upon themselves and buying us the most oddest gift.

I have 3 gifts FI and I got for christmas that I am just still shaking my head over. One family friend from his side (my side wouldnt do this LOL) gave us a butchers knife. Just a butchers knife.

One of his aunt's gave us 4 glasses that were the ugliest glasses I have ever seen. It had all these weird shapes and designs and its just not our taste. But we both smiled and said they were lovely and would definatly go in our new home (maybe the closet, but still it will be in our new home)

and my favorite which I talk about so much because it just still completely baffles me. His dad's wife gave me a lenox bud vase and when I put the vase on the armoir I noticed a sticker at the bottom. No not the price tag, but in fact it said 'SET 1 of 3'

After reading all your posts OMG I am having visions of great aunt mildred giving us a creamer that looks like she had in her basement for 50 years.

OMG!!!! I just read through allllllll 14 pages of this post b/c we are sooooo slow at work and it has kept me entertained for a good hour and it is probably one of the best threads I have ever read!!!

I had to bump it even though it is almost 5 years old.

We got a HIDEOUS comforter set - I didnt register for it - and it wasnt in Macys, BBB or Fortunoff for me to get rid of it! The best is that DH actually LIKES it (I think its bc his fathers aunt gave it to us )

I also got - definately a regift - a marble and silver cheese cracker platter. .. WHY would someone give me that when I picked out my OWN cheese and cracker platter???
